Hi everyone,
I just wanted to leave a note that I am going on a tumblr hiatus until further notice and I am probably not going to be finishing the last chapter of Copy-Room Romance any time soon for personal reasons. I just need a break. I don’t think I can read SNK any more for a bit anyway.

“A president who has been impeached by the House can still serve as president. It’s up to the Senate to hold a trial to decide whether to remove him from office. The two other presidents impeached by the House, Bill Clinton and Andrew Johnson, were both acquitted by the Senate.
The Constitution only says that the Senate has to hold a trial, with the senators sitting as jurors, House lawmakers serving as prosecutors known as managers, and the chief justice of the United States presiding over it. Senators must take a public vote, and two-thirds of those present must agree on whether to convict the president and thus remove him from office. But the Constitution doesn’t lay out exactly how to hold a trial.” For those of you who don’t know. Please Senate, have some sense and boot his ass out.
And now is the time friends, to start calling your senators especially if they are Republican. Call. Call again. Email. Write letters. Tell them that you want Trump impeached.
Could anyone create a list of the Republican senators, their states, and their contact info? I would love to do it but it’s the busiest season of my work.
I’m sorry to have to say this but there is really no chance of him being removed from office. Not only did zero republicans vote against him in the impeachment vote but several democrats even voted in his favor. The Senate is controlled by his supporters who are not going to remove him from office. Impeachment also doesn’t bar him from running for president again, and he’s already shown that the ruling doesn’t matter to him because it doesn’t impact anything he’s doing, so…this is all pretty pointless and could even make him stronger in the coming election with his mindless idiot voting base who don’t even know who they’re voting for.
I know there’s almost 0 zero chance the Republican Senate will vote for impeachment, but I’m hoping if even a couple of them go with impeachment, and if enough of their constituents speak up about it, it will set the precedent that Republican representatives CAN AND SHOULD do what’s just, and that there are many their constituents who see their BS and want them to do the right thing, or else get voted out
To add on to this a bit, impeachment hasn’t actually helped Trump. His poll numbers didn’t move at all really. This is sad, because he’s been caught as a criminal and there absolutely should be consequences for that, but it also means that the majority of the public doesn’t believe his story that this impeachment is wrongful, they’re not all coming out of the woodwork to support him right now, and he is SO SO SO upset that it happened at all, actually, because it’s a sign that the world doesn’t just admire him whole-heartedly. (Why he still believes this is possible is beyond me, but his letter to Pelosi and his tweets really demonstrate this).
The Senate will not remove Trump because Mitch McConnell is corruption and mindless profit incarnate, but it’s good that this is on Trump’s record, if for no other reason than it really upsets him to be called out for his very real shit and that at least somewhere, in paper, there’s an acknowledgement of wrongdoing.
