oh we missed the ten year anniversary of the worst post i’ve ever made

worst part about getting angry is how much it makes you want to be mean

sorry i said something dickish. a few mildly frustrating things happened to me in succession and it turned me evil

just got diagnosed as your soulmate. yeah sorry now we must spend the rest of our lives together

i think rice with things on it & also some sort of sauce is like basically the best food genre tbh

the point of art is not to be great but to make it transparently obvious that there is something wrong with you

oh. this is a much better standard to live by.

we seriously need to bring back the concept of “despite its flaws i still enjoy it” instead of ‘cancelling’ every fuckin thing in sight 

#we need to trust that just because someone loves a thing it doesn’t mean they don’t know it’s flawed

We also need to stop insisting that everyone enjoying flawed things must put 25 cents in the Problematic Jar and recite all its failings from memory.

If I just may add: we really need to stop pretending that “I’m a Good person, ergo the thing I like is PERFECT and if you criticize it you’re an ENEMY”. You can enjoy stuff AND keep your sense of critical thinking.

there are a lot more abjectly harmful and meanspirited april fool's jokes out there but the one i personally find most annoying is when american game devs pretend that they're going to make a visual novel spinoff of their game because they can't imagine making visual novels in earnest

conversely, the sonic team won my everlasting respect by making their april fool's joke an actual complete visual novel without a hint of irony or disdain for the medium because the joke wasn't that it was a vn, it was that they fucking killed sonic
