Red Lantern Society is tentatively opening it’s doors to players looking to explore content built by adults for adults. A delicate name inspired by the hanging crimson lanterns of Kugane’s own pleasure houses and districts, the Red Lantern Bordello serves as the focal point for the Society’s business – a brothel nestled in the quiet Lavender Beds, featuring breathtaking views both within and without.

Founded and managed by Tsukiko Tanshi, an exile from the Far East who entered into the profession as a means of making sure both she and her father would never need to risk themselves in their refugee status, the business is built two-fold; to allow prostitutes, companions, and other variations of erotic workers or those who dabble in the business a place where they can work safely and without threat to their person, and giving those who have no place to go but offer skills that can support the brothel under the Silver Lotus Rehabilitation Clinic.

Our desire as a free company is to add to the community in a positive manner; we’re adult-focused and aware of the stigma that comes with that, but we wish to bring together creative players and characters who are interested in not just participating in a brothel and rehabilitation atmosphere, but also engage with the community as a whole. We want to network, entertain, adventure, and just generally enjoy ourselves while maintaining high-quality interactions that leave those who choose to interact with us feeling comfortable about returning, and bringing friends.

We are not an entertainment company in the grandest sense of the term. While we might hire a performer to entertain for a private party, we do not encourage the application of those who absolutely need a stage to stand on. We’re not a theater troop, we’re not a cabaret, we’re not a discotheque. Our entertainment comes in the form of quiet and intimate lounge nights where patrons can enjoy the company of those who work in the brothel, loaning out staff and services to other free companies who might need some extra hands for an event they’re running, exclusive and playful events where all business members can enjoy a night off while getting to know one another, and more – on top of the obvious.

We’re small, and wish to remain such. We do not encourage the application of those who are looking for constant activity online – while we’re still figuring out just how many we want our ‘small’ to be, chances are that we will experience content and activity lulls harder than other free companies because we’re aiming for high quality over high quantity. Oh great this again… It’s 2019 how disappointing.

I’m not sure we have anyone or anything but ourselves to blame in this case. I see people leveraging accusations of sexism now that the viera/hrothgar split is confirmed, but sexism was there the whole time and it was being conveniently ignored. Viera, as a race, is quite literally a bunch of sexy, skinny women in lingerie armor and built-in heels. When there was still a promise of there being male viera, the hype was everywhere and I didn’t see anyone say ‘yo, it’s 2019, maybe it’s time to update this costume design’ but rather overwhelming approval for your brand new wife Fran.

And that’s fine! Honestly, the fanservice isn’t really my thing, but I’ll more than likely play a sexy bunny lady and have a grand old time of it because I’m a simple bitch at heart, but we can’t pretend our choices here were particularly woke in the first place and you can’t pretend sexism only exists when you’re mad about it. Your problematic fave was here all along.

Help Save a Home!

My household is in a crisis. We’re being faced with losing our home, and we’re frantically trying to avoid that. 

I live with my best friend and her husband, Emily and Rob Fry. The Fry’s have had their knock of rough luck, and filed for bankruptcy a few years back. They’ve been making their payments and all has seemed well. They had about 1.5 years go go before that’s settled. Everything has seemed fine…Things are not fine. Last night we found out our HOA is trying to put a lien on the house and get it foreclosed on over $3,000 that wasn’t included in the bankruptcy. Just that much, and they want to take our home! We’re all living pretty much at our means. Rob is a full-time worker at UPS for over 20 years, there’s no way he could take a second job. Emily is diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, and though she’s tried, her body simply will not allow her to work. (And trust me, she’s tried. She misses working). And I’m already working the maximum amount of hours I can as a CNA in order to keep my financial help with attending college to become an RN. Essentially? We’re backed into a corner, and looking at two option. We sell the house, which none of us are prepared for or can do financially or with our current pets. Or we raise $3,000 to pay of the HOA debt and save our home. So…I’m putting up a GFM in the earnest hope that folks will help us. Even dollar helps. And if you can’t donate? Please reblog.
