ITALIAN ROOTS

This was not the first time (Y/N) met Holly, they met some months beforehand but it was such a rushed meeting that they barely were able to say “nice to meet you” to each other because of Jotaro’s busy schedule but now it was the first time they actually had the opportunity to sit down and talk. Sitting at the dining table Holly asked a million questions while (Y/N) had a million answers for her, even Jotaro was surprised at how well they were getting along.

He wasn’t paying attention to the conversation but he believed that even if he was he wouldn’t even be part of it anyway. (Y/N) glanced a few times in his direction before continuing with the conversation with Holly who had the biggest smile a woman could have.

Jotaro looked at his phone in his hand and read a few text messages from work, nothing really important. Suddenly Holly gasped and he was quick to turn his attention to whatever made her react like that, (Y/N) had a big smile on her face and Holly looked surprised as she held onto her arms.

“Impossibile, parlo anche italiano!”

He was officially off the hook of the conversation, they were talking in a whole other language now! Jotaro stared at them like they were crazy until he remembered, (Y/N) was italian. They started talking like old friends again, Holly thought for a moment before some sentences but (Y/N) was quick to answer back and what Jotaro thought was helping her with some forgotten words.

Now, Jotaro couldn’t care less about whatever they talked about in whatever language they wanted to do it but the moment they started to talk while looking at him and then giggling messed with his head, were they talking about him?

“Jotaro è l'uomo più bello che abbia mai incontrato.” (Y/N) said looking at him and blushing while Holly clapped her hands together with the biggest smile in her face

“Assomiglia a suo padre!” his mother was quick to add.

Jotaro knew very few Italian words, were they talking about him? He raised a brow and decided to ask, he couldn’t just sit there while they talked about him without knowing what exactly they were saying. Before he could get a word out his mother stood up saying something about dinner being ready and rushing to the kitchen. For a moment the couple was left alone and Jotaro took the opportunity.

“What was that all about?” he asked (Y/N)

“You didn’t tell me your grandmother was italian” she was quick to answer back with a smile “She got really excited about me being italian, she’s really sweet”

“I didn’t think it was relevant” he shrugged “I heard my name”

(Y/N) blushed but didn’t give him an answer and that didn’t help the fact that he wanted to know what the hell they were saying about him

“It wasn’t anything bad tesoro” she said reassuringly and even laughed “Just girl talk”

Jotaro gave her a serious look before breaking a tiny smile, he couldn’t deny it was endearing how well they were getting along and if it meant talking in Italian then maybe he should call grandma Suzi Q and ask her about it.

After that Holly came back carrying dinner for everyone and sat down, the three of them started eating and talking in between, this time in a language Jotaro could take part of the conversation.

LIGHTNING STRIKES

(Y/N)’s nerves were growing by the second, they could see the dark clouds getting closer and closer outside their classroom window. Their knee bounced up and down in a very anxious matter, not very noticeable for those around them but it was getting worse. Feeling a slight poke in their arm, they turned their head away from the window.

“Huh?” they asked quietly, after all the teacher was still talking at the front.

“You alright?” Okuyasu mouthed, trying his very best to not get any unwanted attention from their teacher.

(Y/N) nodded and gave him a tight smile, the little distraction helped to ease their nerves and to keep their eyes away from the nearing storm outside. They didn’t want anyone to know they were afraid of thunderstorms and the lightning that followed, it was embarrassing! What if Okuyasu noticed? They felt their cheeks grow read until a loud rumble was heard outside. The whole class gasped, it was inevitable for teens to make a huge deal out of these kind of things, what if the lights went out? that would be exciting! or that’s what most thought. Not (Y/N) though.

Raising their hand high and biting their lower lip, (Y/N) tried to get their teacher’s attention desperately and once they did they asked to be excused to the restroom. The teacher couldn’t care less so they just nodded, the teen almost running out into the hallway. They rushed through the long hallway to get to the safest place they knew at the moment, the restroom. A place with no windows and where the sounds of the rain and thunder outside got muffled by thick walls.

This didn’t go unnoticed by Okuyasu, he wasn’t very observant, after all thats what Koichi did best but he couldn’t help but to notice (Y/N)’s odd behaviour (Specially since his attention was on them most of the time, not like they knew this anyway). After another loud thunder and a couple lightning across the clouds outside, the bell rang but no (Y/N) in sight yet.

The students started to pack their things and take out their umbrellas from their bags. Josuke and Koichi were quick to follow too and talk about what could be done about a day like this. (Y/N)’s things laid unmoved from their desk and Okuyasu took it upon himself to shove them into their bag and go look for them, they just went to the restroom right?

(Y/N) looked at their reflection in the mirror after wiping a couple tears and sighted, the faint sound of the ongoing storm outside was slowly growing louder and they needed to go back and pack their things. Shit… they should’ve done that before leaving, now the classroom was probably empty and that made the whole situation much scarier. Letting out a shaky sigh and walked outside but after a couple steps they crashed into someone.

“Oh there you are!” the much taller teen smiled.

“Okuyasu?” their eyes were blown wide looking up at them and seeing two bags over his shoulder.

“Here, I packed your things so you didn’t have to go back on your own!” he handed their bag to them “are you okay? you seem a little distressed…”

“Um… yeah, I’m just…” god, this was embarrassing “I’m just a little scared of storms…”

“A little?” he quirked an eyebrow “You seen very scared of them”

“Yeah okay, no need to rub it in…” they sighed lowering their head. In that moment the hallway was lit up by the lightning outside, (Y/N) let out a cry out of fear and closed their eyes tightly, turning away.

“Hey, it’s alright. Nothing wrong with that!” Okuyasu was quick to reassure them. “We can go to the cafeteria and wait till the storm stops, that way you can go home without walking into the storm!”

“That sounds like a good idea” they said with a trembling voice, their face in their hands.

“Here, you can hold my arm if it makes you feel better” he said offering said arm with a big smile, (Y/N) looked up at him and smiled through their nerves, taking his arm.

They walked to the cafeteria, Okuyasu talking about anything just to drown out the thunder outside and for a moment (Y/N) forgot it was even raining. They sat by a table and continued their conversation, some other students walked in as well, most of them also waiting on the raining to stop so they could walk home safely. An hour passed and the dark clouds got lighter, the rain almost stopped and there was no signs of lightning in the sky.

“Looks like it finally stopped” Okuyasu pointed out after laughing at something they said, (Y/N) turned to the nearby window and gasped

“You’re right! wow I didn’t even notice!”

“That’s what happens when you laugh too hard” he pointed out referring to the loud laughing fit they had not even 5 minutes ago

“Thank you for keeping me company Okuyasu” they smiled at him and Okuyasu felt his cheeks heat up

“It’s- it’s nothing! I had fun talking with you!” They both smiled with red cheeks and looked away

“We should get home then” (Y/N) said taking hold of their bag “Wanna go together?”

“Sure!” Okuyasu was quick to follow them outside into the puddle filled streets.

(Y/N) threw their bag to a corner of the room as they jumped into the bed with the biggest smile and a sigh once they settled into the comfy mattress.

“I’m sure you only visit me for my bed at this point” Josuke frowned walking into the room a second later

“It’s not my fault you have the comfiest bed in Japan” (Y/N) sighed out loud very dramatically with their eyes closed, they could fall asleep any second now

Josuke shed his uniform jacket and placed it on a hanger. It was Friday so (Y/N) came to spend the day at his house, usually they went elsewhere to spend the start of the weekend but today was a specially hot and tiring day so nothing sounded better than to stay inside under the A/C, in a comfy bed with a lover or that’s what (Y/N) said.

Sitting in a corner of the bed Josuke started undoing his shoes

“Hurry up Josuke!” (Y/N) whined pushing him with their foot

“Sheesh, so impatient. I thought you fell asleep already”

“No, I’m missing the most important element”

“What would that be?” he held back a playful grin as he laid down beside them

“You, silly!” they wrapped their arms around his neck as he leaned down to kiss their lips. Josuke smiled and moved both of them to lay together in the bed, it wasn’t big but (Y/N) was right, it was exceptionally soft and comfy.

Josuke had an arm under their head and the other around their waist. He closed his eyes and he felt his body relax, after such a long week to finally be able to let go he sighed and buried his nose in (Y/N)’s hair. Both their breaths started to slow down as the sounds of nature and the small-town activity lulled them to sleep.

A few hours later, the sun lowered and the sky was painted orange. It was not as hot as it was mid-day so people started to fill the streets, groups of young students or couples walking around looking for something fun to do, families enjoying their time together to start the weekend.

Josuke groaned as he woke, stretching in the space he had. Feeling some weight over his almost numb arm he was reminded of his lover beside him. He looked out the window from where he laid and turned back to them, shaking their arm lightly.

“(Y/N) wake up” he called but received a groan and them snuggling deeper into the space between his shoulder and shin “Come on, don’t you want to go out and get some food?”

“No” they were quick to respond “I want to cuddle”

“We already cuddled the whole day; my arm is dying on me” Josuke tried again to move away but was pulled back by (Y/N) who scowled with their eyes still closed.

“Shut up Josuke, I want to cuddle forever”

He laughed and gave into the cuddle again, how could he refuse such a cute and sweet demand. Josuke placed a hand on their back, running his hand up and down in a very calming pace, (Y/N) almost giving in on sleep again.

“Ah, you’re truly the best” they sighed with the brightest smile

“You owe me ice cream” he answered rolling his eyes playfully “and a new arm”

STOMACH ACHE

“Aughhh…” (Y/N) whined from the living room. Bruno sighed as he poured another cup of tea for them, they had been sick for almost 3 days with stomach ache and even if it wasn’t nothing fatal, it was getting on (Y/N)’s nerves and worrying Bruno. As he walked back to where they sat, (Y/N) laid down with a hand over their stomach with furrowed brows.

“Do you feel better sitting or laying down?” Bruno asked as he placed the cup in front of them. (Y/N) slowly sat up and barely opening their eyes, they reached for the cup taking small sips.

“I don’t even know, it’s just a constant ache” they said lowly. Bruno’s expression didn’t change, he felt bad that they had to go through this. The last two nights were restless and even if (Y/N) insisted on sleeping somewhere else so he could get some rest, he was quick to shut them down and tell them to rest.

Bruno stood up again and sat back down next to them, rubbing a hand on their back as they slowly leaned into him until they were completely resting. (Y/N)’s face seemed to relax a little at that and a sigh left their lips. He rubbed small and big circles up and down their back, (Y/N) moved to rest their head on his lap.

Minutes ticked by without them noticing until (Y/N) started snoring softly, catching the capo off guard. He smiled knowing they were finally getting some rest, moving the hand to rub on their head and earning a relaxed sigh from (Y/N).

People came and went around the house but Bruno made sure nothing disturbed their sleep, even if his leg felt like crumbling if he stood up he was not going to move. After a few hours (Y/N) started waking up, eyes slowly opening to look up at the beautiful sight that was Bruno.

“How are you feeling?” he asked softly with a smile, running a hand over their cheek as they looked still a little disoriented “That looked like a good sleep”

“I’m feeling much better” they admitted “My stomach doesn’t hurt as much now but I’m still a little tired”

“That’s good to hear amore, is there anything I get you?”

(Y/N) shook their head while rubbing the sleepiness off their eyes, sitting up slowly.

“You stayed here the whole time?”

“Well of course tesoro, how could I live such a beauty sleeping alone?”

(Y/N) giggled and stood up to follow him into the kitchen “How about another cup of tea? I think you have a special touch to it” Bruno smiled and nodded.
