There’s a part of this movie where I have to like… let Aurora go a bit. And it wasn’t in the script. And I didn’t quite let her go. And Diaval has to come in and say, “Let her go.” And that got me every time because I would think of, you know, all of the kids, and that moment… that moment when you really have to let them go.
Diaval: There’s only one thing worse then dying
Diaval: rips off paper to reveal ‘maleficent dying’
Maleficent: me?
Diaval: NO

Just remembered we were robbed of seeing Diaval's reaction when Ingrith announced "Maleficent is dead!"
Don't even imagine it. Don't image Diaval hearing but refusing to believe it, even as he changes from a bear back to a human. Don't imagine the heart-wrenching pain as he feels the absence of her magic that's usually flowing through him. Don't think about his absolute devastation of losing his mistress for the second time in under a week.
Don't. Think. About. It.
Honestly... the decision to omit his reaction feels like a slap in the face. We get Philip's reaction but not Diaval's? What sense does that make? The absence of that shot just really annoys me. And I'm sure our captain Sam is equally miffed about it.
