Wren’s eyes narrowed. “Where. The hell. Have you been? I- it’s been months, Colman.”
“i’m sorry, wren. there was a family emergency, i had to go.”
"You never contacted me. Never. I called and called." Her eyes narrowed. "Teddy has no idea who you are. I hope you know that."
Wren's eyes narrowed. "Where. The hell. Have you been? I- it's been months, Colman."
"Well, I don't know you, so there's one to start."
"Oh, Cherub- hi." She smiled. "Yeah, I guess you're a bit of an exception. What's up?"
"You know what I mean, Eli." She chuckled. "Anyways, what's up?"
“Uh..Welcome to my apartment? I could have been in my underwear, you know.”
“Yes but youre not” he pointed out
"Yes, but I could have been." Wren shrugged.

She let out a laugh. “You haven’t called me that since I was eight.”
“Usually you look just about eight when you don’t have bags under your eyes”
She shrugged. "It's what happens when you've got a baby. And I don't look eight, Jonathan."
Wren only shook her head. “Teddy’s starting to crawl. And he’s stopped sleeping regularly. Being exhausted is normal.”
“I think you should sleep Wren, I can look after Teddy for you.”
With a sigh, she glanced up at him. "No. I- it's okay. He's at the daycare right now anyways."
“Baby keeping you awake?” He asked, raising an eyebrow.
“Yeah.” She nodded. “He’s stopped sleeping through the night. And- I’m not quite sure where Colman is, at the moment.”
Wren only shook her head. "Teddy's starting to crawl. And he's stopped sleeping regularly. Being exhausted is normal."
She let out a laugh. “You haven’t called me that since I was eight.”
Wren was bent over a book, the pages hiding the fact that she was dozing off. As someone tapped her shoulder, she snapped to attention, sitting up quickly and blinking. "Hi..uh..sorry.."
Wren laughed, hugging her brother tightly. “Hi!” She gently scooped Teddy out of his stroller. “Be careful with him, okay? Keep his head supported.” Wren told her brother. As she placed Teddy in his arms, the baby looked thoughtfully up at him, clutching at his finger.
