kiss, marry, kill: Gwen, Amata, Dakota
“Wow, well... this is, uh, hard. ‘Mata is my best friend, so I guess marry her? And Captain, my captain, I can’t kill her... so she’s kiss. I’m sorry, Gwen. I don’t make the rules. If I did, there’d be an extra kiss.”
“Narcissism looks good on you, Liam.”
“I mean, have you seen me? Everything looks good on me.”
She took his hand, grinning the entire time. “They’re about to find out.” Gwen rested her free hand on his shoulder. “Nope. I’m about as solo as they come this evening. Although I could probably punch you if you’re looking for that kind of drama.” She paused. “I’m kidding of course. About the punching thing, not the date thing. I am alone tonight, yes.”
“No, no. I’ll pass on the punching, thanks.” Liam said with a laugh, holding one hand up defensively. “At least I won’t have to worry about some jealous bloke. Although I have to ask, is there someone you wanted to come with?”
“I was asking myself the same thing. Don’t these people know I’m basically a dance teacher.” She teased before nodding. “I would love to dance.” Gwen replied before grinning. “So did you come here with anyone or are you flying solo?”
He held his hand out, laughing softly. “They don’t know what they’re missing out on apparently.” Liam led her to the floor, placing his hand on her waist. “Just little ol’ me tonight. Am I going to have to worry about some guy punching me for stealing his date?”
“I guess so,” Malia said with a laugh. “So, my fellow Hufflepuff graduate, have you been enjoying the summer?”
“Probably could have done more to enjoy it. But instead I’ve thrown myself into my work,” Liam replied with a shrug. “How about yourself?”
“I would try returning you and getting someone hotter, but I fear I might find trouble doing that.” Alex offered with a grin. When Liam spoke next, he quirked his eyebrows. “Kinky.”
“You definitely would. I’m a catch.” He said with a slight pout. “You’d think that, wouldn’t you? I could just use you for housework. You don’t know. “
“Maybe I’m just sitting this one out?” She mused, waggling her brows. “But you’re right. No one asked so I’m here.”
“And how is that possible?” Liam asked as if it personally offended him. “We’ll just have to fix that, won’t we. Care to dance?”
“I’m surprised to find you over here instead of out there on the dance floor,” Liam said with a smirk as he approached. “Don’t tell me that nobody asked you?”

“Aw, that’s a crap present.” Alexander said with a grin. “And no problem. Anything for you, babe.”
“Well too bad. No returns. You’re stuck with me until you can regift me.” Liam teased, smirking at his friend. “Anything you say? Oh my. I could get dangerous with that.”
“Thank you,” Malia put the shoes in the chair and smiled. “Well, I say we go get a drink. I’m pretty sure one of thems been spiked but there’s got to be something here that isn’t spiked. I mean unless you want the spiked punch? I heard it’s terribly done though.”
He threw his coat over the shoes, hiding them from sight. “There. It’s our little secret,” he said with a smirk. “Well, unless there’s a way to tell which one it is, I guess we’ll just have to surprise ourselves.”
“You know what? You’re right.” Malia smiled and slipped off her shoes. “There we go much better,” She said laughing. “I’m already taller than most people here so Heels really don’t matter.”
He offered to take them from her, gesturing to his seat with his free hand. “Leave them in my chair. I was just going to take my jacket off, we can use it to cover them. No one will even know.”
“Oh, right, of course.” Amata replied, nodding her head reassuringly. Almost instantaneously, the pang of jealousy that had gripped her heart seconds before released. She already felt ridiculous about the entire thing. “So you’re more of a Leaky Cauldron kind of guy now?” Amata replied, pausing only to stretch her legs out against the blanket. She hummed. “I see how it is.” Amata couldn’t help but chuckle as she, once again, teased Liam. Not that she couldn’t blame him, though. After graduating, most people had no reason to return to Hogsmeade. Not unless they lived, or worked here. “I am, yeah.” Was it the smartest decision? Probably not. She already had enough things stacked on her plate, not to mention her monthly affliction she also had to deal with. “Alura really wants to join the Harpies next year.” Amata continued. “She wants me to try out to, but I don’t know.”
“No, not really. I’d say I’ve turned into the ‘drink at home by myself after a long day at work’ kinda of guy now, sadly.” He’d turned into quite the hermit since graduating, only leaving his flat to go to work. Sure, he managed to make some of the events around town, but he only stayed for a little while before he headed back home. Liam was a little taken aback by her answer. “Oh, really? Sounds like you have even less free time on your hands than I do.” He nodded when she expressed her doubts on try outs, he’d been in her position just a few months ago. “You know, quidditch is fun. I loved playing at school. But I’m really glad I didn’t pursue it as a career. You should just ask yourself if it’s what you really want or if you’d rather focus on something else.”
“No, you don’t get to complain. Do you see these heels? Too tall and very painful.”
“You’re also wearing a floor length gown. Nobody would notice if you just didn’t wear them.”
“You look like an elf. Where’s my present?”
“Your present is this magnificent sight. And don’t you think I’m a bit tall for an elf? But thanks for the compliment. Really, means a lot, you ass.”
“Well you look dashing,” Honor says, “If it makes you feel better, I’m ready to take off these hells right about now.”
“Can’t we just have a casual party? Why does everything have to be so formal? It wouldn’t kill anyone to not have a fancy ball.”
