everyday just feels like being punched in the face more and more

Not gonna lie, my morale is at the lowest point it's been since the beginning of the invasion. Russians are successfully occupying more and more territories and shell frontline regions every day. People are dying, our culture and herritage is destroyed. International aid dwindled significantly because of american bullshit. Mobilization law has been signed and there is a chance that my family members get conscripted soon. Don't even get me started on internal political problems. A bunch of articles in foreign media talking about our defeat and "peace talks" (what a joke).

It feels like there were no at least moderately good news in a while. On top of that, the feeling that we are screaming into the void is stronger than ever. I'm happy when I see a foreigner online supporting us and spreading the word, because it gets rarer. Ukrainians feel like none of what's happening gets outside our info bubble. Most likely no one but Ukrainians will see this post either. Honestly don't know what to make of all of this.

Even if you support Ukraine in your words, if you promote Russian culture, texts, artists, musicians, etc. on your page, I cannot in good faith follow you back or support you. Even if the artists are pro-Ukraine, if they live in Russia, every penny taxed goes to slaughtering my people.

you know the funny thing is that in these past 2+ years there has never been a single day when ukrainians felt secure or confident in our quote-unquote "allies". there has never not been an underlying fear that they're gonna get tired/bored of us any day now, they're gonna be too scared to help, they're gonna choose the short-term profits from doing business with russia over the long-term benefit of sticking with us, they're gonna be too enamoured with that high culture ballet intelligentsia chic to listen to some poor mail bride folks, they're gonna get offended that we don't kowtow in gratitude enough, they're gonna get annoyed that they've given us so many bananas but we keep insisting we need apples, etc.

and we were right on every point, and we keep asking for apples because there's literally no one else on planet earth to ask, and we keep cooing about the whole "civilised democracy western values" nonsense (yes, it's cringe to hip lefty people, i know, i am a hip lefty people too) to maybe flatter them into moving their asses, very aware that if they think we're losing they'll dump us because it's a waste to help us but if they're think we're winning they'll dump us because there'll be no sense of urgency to help

and all people internalised was this "the west has past tense helped ukraine" narrative, whether they bring it up to pat themselves on the back or to """point out the hypocrisy""" and say that it's time to move on to something else

no the fuck you didn't. you were in the middle of helping, then you changed your mind and dropped your hand, and so far it seems that no amount of bleeding and carnage will shock you into lifting it up again

"They're just 14" well when the full-scale invasion began i was just 15, and just 7 when the war began. More than half of my life i spent like this. Why is that fucking nazi better than me? Why do they deserve a normal, peaceful life, while im trying to distract my classmate whose brother was killed at the front by those fucking russians? Why does my school has to make an alley of trees for the students that died in this war?

Why is it that russians can be "just kids", but not us? Why do I and thousands of ukrainian kids and teens like me can't have a normal childhood?
