Welcome to my modest little simblr! I'm a 30ish-year-old TS2 simmer from Finland. I play and post about my own original neighborhoods and I'm horribly attached to the sims I have created. I am WCIF friendly and will enthusiastically answer any and all asks concerning my game! The way my hyperfixation rotate makes it so that I might seem inactive at times, but I'm always lurking.

See ya around ♡

Whitewave is my current longest running neighborhood. The heart of the neighborhood lies in two family lines: The Limestones and The Commune (which consists of two family lines and a Limestone). The entire neighborhood is messy and I certainly don't offer enough information about them for anyone to be able to keep track, but I love this neighborhood a lot. Any and all asks about these guys are more than welcome ♥

*tag takes you to the household tag on my blog, chrono to the same tag but starting from the beginning. the chronological tags don't work on mobile.

Oddity is the location for my newest gameplay endeavour: The Heirloom Challenge. It's a legacy inspired challenge with rules by yours truly. Although (for now) I play only one household in this neighborhood, I prefer to tag my game the way I usually do, because sooner or later I will surely add more families to this mess.

The Tinwater building project has not been entirely abandoned, but it is in need of some revision, to make it not as easily susceptible to pink flashing.

This is different from Al-Shifa:

There are images of decomposed bodies wearing what appear to be scrubs... with their hands tied. Meaning they were executed while bound. I will not be sharing them because I'm tired of showing our martyrs' bodies to people.

Whitewave

Strauss household I

Erika and Ellis were created for one reason and one reason only: So Storm Limestone can have more members for his band. Luckily, the three meet on their very first day in Whitewave, since Storm and his wife Kanerva are the first ones to bid them welcome to the neighborhood.

Erika starts off in the music career track, but due to a bad chance card she loses her job, and turns into the life of crime... For a while. Until she gets another chance at music. Ellis is a pleasure sim and a slacker, and the good thing about the slacker career is that it lets him meet Lemon Farwood on his very first day at work.

The four become fast friends and now all that's left is to give their band a name.

hey simmers reblog this and tell me what's your main sims game AND what's your go-to non-sims comfort game? for example i'm a ts2 simmer but my absolute comfort game is batman: arkham asylum.

this is just a little comment because i don't wanna comment on r/thesims2 threads rn, but while in theory i love the idea of more deadly diseases, playing rotational gameplay makes it so that i CONSTANTLY have a flu outbreak in town, since most of my households know eachother, so they're always spreading the disease. while it's easy to cure, it's just annoying having sims constantly break out in coughs.

maybe a vaccination mod could work 🤔

I'm not saying that I dislike that weed has been legalized in more and more states (imo all drugs should be legalized but that's not the point of this post)- I *am* saying that every time I pass a dispensary that looks like an apple store and I see white people talking freely about making special cookies and smoking in their spare time, all I can think about are the thousands and thousands of black people who experienced huge amounts of state-sponsered violence for even the suspicion of having weed on them and those who are STILL IN PRISON for possession charges.

And it. Just kinda makes me grit my teeth, you know? My father was illegally searched and brutalized in front of me when I was a little kid because the cop "thought he smelled weed" (he didn't, my dad doesn't touch the stuff) and in the mean time Becky in accounting takes a "special gummy" every night that she gets from a store next to the Starbucks.

“You understand what I’m saying? We knew we couldn’t make it illegal to be either against the war or black, but by getting the public to associate the hippies with marijuana and blacks with heroin. And then criminalizing both heavily, we could disrupt those communities,” Ehrlichman said. “We could arrest their leaders. raid their homes, break up their meetings, and vilify them night after night on the evening news. Did we know we were lying about the drugs? Of course we did.”

-Former Nixon domestic policy chief John Ehrlichman

I'm going through old old old screenshots from multiple neighborhood folders I've saved during the years and like. What was I thinking when I thought hotkeying Fraps screenshots to C was a good idea? I mean sure, I was so used to taking pictures with the in-game camera it only made sense to bind it to C, and that way I also always got a backup picture if I forgot to launch Fraps.

However.............. Now all these folders are filled with weird angle building pictures since Fraps took a screenshot EVERY TIME I opened the cheat box! Patting my old self on the back rn.

A Reminder

Palestine is not over. Palestine is not dead. Gaza, the West Bank, the entire region between the river and the sea, and the various countries across the world where refugees have fled to, house a surviving people and surviving culture. Palestine is not dead, and WILL NOT die.

I'm seeing a lot of very valid despair online, but if you're someone like me, living a privileged life in a Western country NOT under active bombardment, and which is actually COMPLICIT to some degree in that bombardment: we don't get to give up. Not now, not ever.

You can still get involved in protests or direct actions (e.g. blocking supply), you can still donate eSims or fund UNRWA on your government's behalf, you can still hassle the crap out of your local MP. No, it won't roll back the harm that's already been committed, but all of those things are STILL WORTH DOING. PEOPLE ARE STILL ALIVE OVER THERE. PALESTINE IS STILL WORTH SAVING.

If you've bothered to read this far, you're probably already aware of what's going on over there right now. If not, check out Al Jazeera's fantastic coverage. But also remember that Palestine, and Palestinian culture, is more than just death and despair. Examples below:

Long live Palestine, from the river to the sea.

I'm sorry for being so sappy, but I wanted to show you guys something.

When I first donated to PCRF in December 2023, it was barely 10% close to its goal. Now in March 2024, they're also 100%. Everyone of you has helped support a better future for Gaza.

They're so close to their goal. Please donate or share this post so that they can get to their goal🇵🇸

They have a new fund for Ramadan that is as of today (March 19th, 2024) at $477,663.81 out of the $400,000,000 goal!

the way the war in gaza has been constantly about targeting flour, targeting hospitals, targeting universities, targeting water containers, targeting anything that brings life in order to "thin out the population" and "encourage palestinians to move to tent cities in egypt"

and then you have western media readily calling it a "humanitarian crisis" therefore fulfilling israel's goal of manufacturing a humanitarian crisis. this entire war was with the purpose of collectively punishing a civilian population of 50% children. that's why it was immediately understood and labelled as a genocide by multiple genoide scholars, by the lemkin institute, and is currently on trial for genocide at the hague

like the starvation and the blocking of aid and the dropping of parachuted MREs to just barely salvage the reputation of a few politicians is not a byproduct of the war. it's not collateral damage. it is a central pillar of the genocide. acquiescing to israelis blocking aid by building ports and dropping pallets of food means acquiescing to famine as a strategy instead of trying to stop it. famine is not collateral damage, it is a central pillar of genocide. killing children is not collateral damage. it is a central pillar of the genocide. we don't need hindsight to say this plainly, anyone who denies it now is another pillar of genocide.

Whitewave Black household VII

This round with the Blacks was 1) uneventful and 2) I took barely any pictures. In fact, I took zero pictures of Willow... To fix this, I snapped a picture of her and Harlow as young adults, since the twins went off to college this round!

Babette has reached peak evilism in her evil witch endeavours, and crafted herself the Claw of Darkness Throne! Since keeping motives up is no longer an issue, she has been trying hard to catch a glimpse of aliens... She is an avid scholar of the occult after all. On top of that she keeps rolling a wish to turn into a werewolf, and has also befriended the vampire Mia Lovett recently.

Some time ago Babette also caught feelings for an old friend, Valdemar Ardor. So, the two took the next step in their relationship. Valdemar's wife Toini is also a very close friend of Babette's.
