What’s your fantasy?

I wake up, my debt is all paid off, my bank account is full, my relationships with my family are healthy, and I’m able to travel anywhere in the world.

reblog for this ultimate fantasy life to come true

also, can we take a second to appreciate how the episode frames 2018 Loki's death? Like, the show didn't attempt to sell us a bullshit justification for it. There were no implications of ""sacrifice"" or ""redemption"". No attempt to pretend that it was in any way a satisfactory end to the character, or that it served any purpose other than to get rid of him. Nope, it presented his death exactly the way it was: an abrupt, shocking, and downright cruel death for a character the narrative simply decided to toss away without second thought now that it was done toying with him.

An Offering, A Connection...

Summary: When a little boy gets lost in the woods in England, what hope does he have to return to his home safe and sound? Who will come to his rescue? Well, a very chaotic entity that loves kids.

Author's Note: I usually don't write RPF, but I felt compelled to write this one. This concept had been rattling in my head for a while, but I never felt a push to actually write it. Until now, until today, when I had been down in the dumps, thinking I had lost my writing mojo for good. I guess Loki approved?

...............

Golden, rowdy curls... unsure, confused steps.

The child was… lost, for certain. He had looked around and tried to act brave at first. But soon, it all devolved into panic and fear.

He was now crying. No, he was a sobbing mess. Crying out for his mother, looking around with frantic, wet eyes.

He was deep in the woods and there was no help in sight.

Were his parents not around? Why wasn't anyone looking for him?

The hidden, shadowy figure moved closer to the boy as his sobs grew louder, drawn by his distress. Not a sound was heard, but a rustling of wind through the trees.

Slowly, the inky shadow took on a more solid form, though the shape looked like a mirage. Ever changing, never settling.

The boy hadn't noticed the presence yet, for he was far too perturbed with his immediate surroundings.

Finally, on a whim, the shifting mirage settled on a form, just as his footsteps squished the fallen, half rotten leaves on the wet ground.

It had rained not long ago, and it might as well start pouring again.

Not that it mattered. To him, it didn't…

But the child would be soaked, and it wouldn't bode well for him. Children were fragile little treasures, after all.

The boy turned around just as he heard the wet footsteps approaching, his eyes wide and terrified.

They were a lovely shade of blue, big and expressive.

He smiled, stopping before the boy, letting him observe him.

"W-Who are you?" he asked, his voice cracking with nerves, his little body shaking in response to both fear and the evening chill of the woods.

"That's irrelevant, dear heart. Are you lost?" he asked the trembling boy, extending his hand towards him as an offer.

The boy didn't move, eyeing his hand with apprehension.

He didn't trust him. That was wise. Trusting strangers in the woods was bad form.

But in this instance, there was little room for choice.

Ah, but he knew he had to be patient. Children were delicate beings. Innocent from all wiles, they held a special place in his heart.

Bending down on one knee, he asked the same question again.

"Are you lost, my child?"

Thank you @latent-thoughts for writing this. I cried like a little child reading it. Sweet and cute

The fact that the TVA video made it very clear that people are arrested for violating a bunch of sacred rules they don’t know about and how those rules only apply to certain people really shows how Marvel is trying so hard to accurately represent law enforcement. Diversity wins <3

I keep using my girlfriend with unusual work hours to get out of coworker interactions and happy hours and hanging out.

But now the company holiday party is upon us.

And I’ve been lying about the girlfriend.

I suddenly really empathise with the characters in Hallmark Christmas movies.

I like that people have two reactions to this post.

Reasonable: “just say she couldn’t make it!”

Chaotic: FAKE DATING AU

Well, which one is it going to be?

And so it begins

having the DMV area Craigslist bookmarked has never come in handy before but now

Update, Craigslist has flagged my post as inappropriate.

Apparently you can’t solicit a date as a “gig”

I now see my mistake

Update: a date has been acquired. This is true lesbian solidarity in action.

My wife has now read this and wonders how baby gays are even meeting and mating

Can confirm I am meeting and mating just fine 😂

By the way I’m in a relationship with this woman now

This is the feedback I’ve been looking for

Tom Hiddleston has a *very* accurate idea of the three sections into which the Loki fandom can be more or less classified, and now I’m left wondering 1. Did he get this information from Tumblr or from Twitter? and 2. Has the poor man ever been the same again after his investigation?

Okay. Either Tom is here undercover or he’s got a mole in the fandom. Either way, someone’s got some ‘splainin to do.

I'm just glad that he knows.

Also, now I'm looking at all my meta writing mutuals with a sus eye. 👀

Meta writers right now:

Alternatively:

Y'all be wild rn. So much suspicion. Jeez.

Can't help it, my dude. His assessment is a little too on the nose.

Alright, assholes.

I don’t usually defend Tony Stark. But this “Something went wrong” bullshit really rubbed me the wrong way. Wanna know why? Because the “Something that went wrong” was Howard Stark. The man that Tony idolised, and the man that abused him. And don’t give me that crap that in the MCU universe, Howard didn’t neglect or hurt Tony — he did. It’s very evident in the tie-in MCU comics.

But in both universes, Tony was raised by Edwin Jarvis. In 616, he has a father — Howard — who is constantly aggravated with his son, both as a result of his own drinking and because of what he feels Tony should be.

While Jarvis might be sensitive, thoughtful, intelligent and occupy roles that aren’t traditionally occupied considered “masculine” (which is bullshit in itself) if Tony ever displays anything remotely indicative of  a “softer side” he is ridiculed, called a sissy, told that Stark men are “made of Iron” and abused by his father:

In the MCU, things aren’t depicted of being much better:

And in the MCU Jarvis, often, tried to soften the blow of Howard’s words an actions. But don’t think for a second that Tony didn’t internalise all of that. That he didn’t think that Howard Stark was the man he was supposed to be, and the man he wanted to be most like.

Of course, generally speaking — when Tony is the most like Howard — like at the Stark Expo, or during the senate hearings — it’s almost 100% preformative. That’s not who he is, or who he ever was, it’s who he thinks people want him to be, because it’s who his father wanted him to be.

I would go so far as to say that a lot of Tony’s womanizing ways, his alcoholism, his struggles with self-identity and importance all stem from the fact that he is often torn between being the man that he assumed his father wanted to be, and who he actually is.

If you look at Tony when he’s alone, or when he’s with the people he cares about the most, what you see is the caring, compassionate person who Jarvis raised, and that he is a lot more capable and a lot more loving than his father ever was. And it took him a long time to be okay with that, and with showing other people that that was who he really was

So yes… Just a reminder, Jarvis helped raised this man:

I’m sorry I haz to reblog everytime I see it.

Best part of this is the gifs that they showed for the ultimate take down. “The armor” was shown as Tony, giving a speech in front of people. “And the man who wears it.” That was Tony in his armor, but not, showing who he really is. @itsallavengers I think you’re gonna wanna see this.

Really? People just love to hate Tony - why? Here’s the thing - Tony doesn’t have to step in the suit. He doesn’t have to sacrifice his life. Tony really doesn’t have to take all the BS that gets shoved at him by the press, so called teammates or average Joe. Tony could have done like other billionaires and said oh well, not my problem. Why should I care? But Tony does care. Yeah, he screws up from time to time. That makes him human. Guess who else screws up from time to time - everyone else in the Avengers.

ALL OF THIS!!

Tony is the best man, always so caring with everyone.

He doesn’t deserve any hatred at all.

Tony Stark is the best and deserves all the love ❤️

if you hate tony stark, get off my blog.

‘Don’t confuse the armour with the man who wears it’ that is the most beautiful and most fitting quote for Tony. He was and always will be my favourite superhero from my childhood.
