Above are images originally created for the prototype of Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective. Initially, the game was going to be called “Ghost Spy,” with Sissel serving as an undead, undercover agent of sorts. Obviously, the story was going to be a LOT different from what it is now.
Can I just take a moment of y’all’s time to just express my LOVE for this initial concept? I know it’s not much to go off of, but in all honesty I would have liked it if this was kinda sorta how things began. I mean, look - that one shot of Sissel running away with Lynne makes it seem as though he was working with her from the beginning, maybe dashing into that room where she seems to be under interrogation to perform a last-minute rescue. Of course, what happens next is pretty obvious.
Part of me wants to make an alternate universe storyline for this concept art, if only to see if I can kinda sorta maybe figure out the original direction it was going in. I’m really untalented in that field, though, so maybe one of my fellow Ghost Trickers can take a better shot at it.

This concept is actually very similar to a headcannon I have, where in the new time-line Sissel becomes a cop and works with Lynne as her partner.
Now obviously this headcannon can only work with some of the other headcannons that I have, so if y'all want to hear more about it (seriously I a whole document of headcannons) I’m willing to chat.
Just be warned though, it might take a while for me to get to it. :/

Bright is completely conscious in 963 when it's not on a host, he's just stuck in some weird in between space inside 963, he appers as his original body in said space
I don't really have a set design for what the inside of 963 looks like but what I have settled for it is that the place is covered in ruby crystals that may or may not have the souls of the victims of 963 stuck inside
Imagine floating in this prison of an amulet bored out of your mind and the only company you get is the fucking other poor fucks that got stuck with 963, including Bright
(Idk why but if Bright knows if the other souls are in there they would go up to one and say, "Sooo what are you in here for?" Then just laugh to themselves like it was the best joke ever)

My idea for a fnf afterlife is like the last ask with it being parallel to the living world and spirits being able to come and go, but its always night, its mixed in with a kind of forest world with mythical animals everywhere (that tend to be regular animals transformed into their current state after death), and its basically a upside down world (like if you go through the ground to enter you will rise out of the ground in it and if you fly into the sky to enter you will be flying down to the ground when your inside, and both heaven and hell reside in the same plane
(I kinda use this style of afterlife for things that don't have one of their own so yeah)
This is a creative one. Like how the common theme is that heaven and hell are pretty much in the same place. Really gives it a "make it how you wish" kind of feel.
Since you rebloged something with garcello in it, it seams to be ok to drop in my hcs for him!
He comes back a few months after the events of SMOS and acts as Bf's guardian 'angel' (I don't want to make him a actual angel, I just like keeping him as a ghost, but he does get a little halo doe so :3)
I also have this kinda sad hc that includes the release retrospector remix mod as a part of it and takes place before the above hc
Like those cases of ghosts visiting the dreams of the living, the entire mod takes place in Bf and Gf's dreams, Garcello was visiting to show that he's doing well in the afterlife and to say thanks for being with him in his last moments alive...
Why does everything involving Garcello makes my heart weep, yet makes me happy too. I love that guy, and I love this headcanon

random unrelated thing that i kinda wanna state cuz it has been in my head for a wile Bright with all their body stealing shenanagins can be absolutely fucking terrifying if they want to be, but if the foundation even sees a hint of them trying to go that route their ass is probably getting dropkicked into containment
I had always headcanon that in a future timeline Bright goes into this like power hungry/ god complex mindset. If someone doesn't keep them in check he is 100% going to like take over the Foundation for fun
