If it weren't for the gravity of the scene you'd all witnessed that night, Jungkook would have expressed unbridled pleasure in telling him yes. "She's free to go," he nodded.

You pulled away and swallowed as you looked up at Yoongi. "Is he…"

Yoongi lifted his hand to stroke your cheek. "He lost a lot of blood. He's getting a transfusion. I don't know what other trauma there might be, but when I left him, he was still alive."

He still wasn't sure if that was the desired outcome. If that alpha had hurt you, Yoongi might have preferred to let him bleed out in the street. But he also didn't want to see you suffer.

"I'm going to take you home," he added, and to his surprise, there was no sign of hesitation in your eyes, only exhaustion. You simply nodded. "When are you coming?" he asked, addressing Jungkook.

"I still have two more hours. We can talk then," Jungkook answered in a way that let Yoongi know there were important things for him to know. 

You find yourself seated in Namjoon's car, if you were being honest, you'd never expected yourself to be here again. It causes anxiety to bubble to the surface, you can't help but feel a little nervous being around him again. You're not doing too well trying to hide your unease from him, he hesitates before slowly reaching over the console to gently take your hand in his, his thumb rubbing small circles on the back of your hand. "Jagi. It's going to be okay. Don't stress yourself out, we're just going to get some lunch and just hang out. Like how we used to. Alright?"

You let out a shaky breath before nodding. You had to remind yourself that you didn't need to overthink it. You remind yourself that you've done the same thing with the others, but it just feels more nerve racking knowing that you're out with Namjoon.

The hallways are as silent as it was back in the room, the only thing heard is the sounds of your footsteps echoing through, and as you close your shawl closer to your body, you look around to make your way to the familiar steps that lead outside where the greenhouse stands.

The doors are left unlocked so you let yourself in and step through the glass doors, closing your eyes for a moment to breathe in the scent of the greens all around you.

It’s during lonely moments like this you feel your heart craving for some sort of familiarity. Not just the presence of your Reapers but for the presence of your manor itself.
