   anxiety  knots  in the pit of her  stomach  ---- she’s long since lost  dreams to the bitter embrace of  death, to the  vileness  of loneliness and despair. Kurenai, the sensei who  sees  her team as her own, to be protected as if they were of her  own  bloodline.  for them she will  bare  her teeth to  protect  their throats, though she has never  coddled  them.  in some cases, he would be  correct  --- but for them, she knows it as bitter  deceit  from a man who’s  lost  everything left to  love  in the world.  they have not.

for as long as the  will of fire  burns brightly in their  chests, they can withstand everything. they may  fall, but they will fall in defence of those they  love, as she would have for her  own  team. Kurenai does the  unthinkable ---  she laughs. it’s like battery  acid,  it burns and  burns, it’s both  bitter  and amused.  ‘   perhaps in your  world, with your  accursed  eyes. where you see  sorrow,  we see  joy,  blood and tears,  rain.   don’t project your  bitterness to where it’s not  wanted.  ’

   ah,  the fickleness of  youth  —  where fleeting crushes  bleed  into a long-winded  infatuation  that is held in  whispers  that would not reach the  ears  of those involved.  Kiba, himself,  was surely doing an  abysmal  job at hiding his  affections  for her.  red faced and looking  anywhere  but at Shori,  he looks every  bit  as bashful as the rumours  dictate.  features soften momentarily  ;   ideas  flashing  into her mind. just a little  push  here  and they would be  aware  of whatever feelings were  harboured  between the two — there’s just the issue of  whether  or not it would  make  or break them.  ‘  he’s  fine,  ’  she offers with a  wave  of her hand,  chipped  polish  gleaming.  ‘  I’ve worked him a  bit  too hard today, I think.  Boy looks like he could  use  an  ice-cream.  ’

nothing wrong with  suggestion,  however.  it’s the  least  likely way for them to  pull away like a  chinese  fingertrap;  caught  and tangled in the  merciless  web of feelings until they  pull  apart. a hand comes to  settle  on the swell of her hip.   ‘  perhaps  you  could take him?  ’

  it’s  hard  to lament the  loss  of what you will never have --- the  juices  of the  forbidden fruits  often taste sinfully  SWEET  as they  drip  over your chin.  confessions  fall upon deaf ears,  fingers toying  idly  with the  hem  of her apron.

 kurenai enjoys being left with lovebites. Especially if they were given to her in the heat of the moment, and if they’re far enough under her clothes she relishes in them -- being the only one aside from him who knows they’re there.

when was mirai born. Okay, so like, you know the way Penguins mate for life? Asuma was her penguin. All thoughts of sex or even the notion of being with someone else as she was with him makes her feel physically sick, because she felt that for the longest time that they were going to retire and grow old and maybe have another kid. The thought of anyone else touching her almost makes her sick. While she misses physical contact, even considering it is enough to make her feel guilty.

Maybe once or twice a month when the stress gets too much for her. Usually it happens long after Mirai’s gone to bed, or when she’s in the bathroom with the door firmly locked. It’s not even a matter fo sexual appetite but it’s the one way she has to blow off just a little bit of steam as adjusting to civilian life after being a shinobi for so long has her restless.

   She’d like to have sex somewhere risky, but at the same time she would probably lose her nerve last minute. Or perhaps roleplay --- nothing overly cheesy, just meeting at a bar and pretending they don’t know each other, having drinks and then maybe out to the back of the bar for some horizontal tango.

If I’m being completely honest here, Kurenai is quite vanilla in the bedroom --- she’s not boring, but the more rougher aspects of sex are very much intimidating, though I’d imagine there have been a few fantasies she’s had where things had been a little rougher. Nothing too outlandish, just the want to have her hair pulled and have a nice big red handprint left on her rear. No biggie. 

She very much likes being on top. Cowgirl, reverse cowgirl, Lotus (though she does very much enjoy being able to see her partner’s face during the act). Ultimately her favourite would have to be her partner sitting on a chair and her on top with her legs either side of their hips.
