Regina Mills is the mayor of Storybrooke, a lifetime racing fan just trying to reconnect with her son, Henry, who has struggled since discovering that he is adopted.
When Emma and Regina are assigned as partners in the Storybrooke Pro-Am Rally Race, it’s not exactly a perfect match. Can Regina get past her dislike of Emma for the sake of winning the race? Or will an unexpected revelation ruin any chance they have at all?

Interview with @Lego-Femslash and their work for Under A Blanket Of Blue
What is your favorite medium to work with? Lego. Tiny moulded lumps of plastic *chef’s kiss* When you are choosing a story do you base your choice on the snippet/summary alone or are you looking for a certain type of story? It’s one of those “I know it when I see it” type things. Basically, I want an interesting enough story that I’m happy to go over it multiple times, and spend a dozen hours thinking about it while building things. SoundofMadness just created such an interesting and complex world that I just had to play in it, and I"m so glad they let me! Which part of the creative process you enjoy the most? About halfway through the build, when I’m still surrounded by bricks, but it’s starting to take shape. Also getting to talk to the authors and enjoy that community. That’s rad. What was the most challenging thing you faced while doing this particular art? I was actually super nervous trying to portray a story this serious in toys.

I love the intricate scenes that you are able to create with Legos. It’s amazing… This is so cool! Always amazed at your art, and how detailed everything is. This is no different with Regina in her paramedic outfit and Emma in her cop vest. I think for me the way you create the settings really stand out, because Lego is not easy to build upon with no vision, and boy do you have plenty of that when I see these picture. In awe as to how you create something so vibrant at every turn using a very pesky art form that looks absolutely beautiful in the end… I really do enjoy seeing your work Lego; the amount of detail you put into constructing both the buildings and the scenario is just spectacular. The balcony above the shop and window on the side, the hotel sign and the bench in the background, and the building with the fire escape. There’s just so much attention to detail… I don’t know how you do these lego pictures but I love them lol. Look at them they look exactly like them! Regina’s face is PERFECT… stylistically, i love everything about all of these scenes. like oh my god there is so much detail in each scene you’ve made, and honestly i am so amazed. some of these buildings are more intricate and beautiful than I’ve ever seen irl. so so amazing. i love the colors, and the way everything just looks so clean? like it’s shiny and it’s also so perfectly out together it’s just fjdncne wow. and the way you’ve taken the pictures and where the focus is, and the parts that blur out just look so epic. honestly you did so amazing

Art Spotlight: Diner? I hardly even know her! by @lego-femslash!
OMG I love the diner setup and the way we’re looking through the window. This is amazing. There’s so much detail in this, I love the wall decorations and the other chairs and tables…i always love seeing these lego creations, whimsical and fun in their own way…love the decor. It’s gorgeous. It really does look like a diner. I also really like the font you picked. Everything just looks so good !…fmkrkfmeknfjer I LOVE THIS SO MUCH!! hOW DO YOU ALWAYS MAKE THE BEST LEGO ART…I also love what you’ve done here with the legos. It’s amazing how you can tell a story just with these pieces...There really is a LEGO for everything! Thanks to you those people will forever be Emma and Regina in my mind since I’ve never seen them anywhere else.

We sat down with @helveticabrown to talk about Diner? I hardly even know her!, their process, and their Supernova adventure!
What inspired your story?
Lego_Femslash’s amazing artwork, of course. I knew as soon as I saw it that I had to write something to go with it and I was over the moon when I found out that I was matched to it for Protostar. I’m not entirely sure the final product is what she initially expected, but I’m hoping that was a good thing.
How do you form your stories? Do you outline beforehand or write by the seat of your pants? Do you write linearly or out of order?
Mostly I write by the seat of my pants. In this case, Lego_Femslash’s artwork gave me a pretty solid framework to build from, so I knew more or less where the story was going to go
What in your fic are you most proud of?
I thought it had some pretty solid jokes. I managed to sneak in a soylent green reference, and there was Lorde’s onion rings blog (seriously, it’s a real thing). Zelena was exactly as over-the-top as I feel she should be in any comedy piece
Is there anything you’d change now?
@helveticabrown wrote SUCH an amazing protostar story for my Diner photos last year. It’s so funny, and so, so good. You should read it, and then give them plenty of kudos and reviews.
Their story wasn’t what I expected - it was at least 10 times better and I am in awe of what they created.

Swan Queen Supernova has started, so it feels appropriate that this week is the last week of art for The Curious Case of The Night That Never Happened (And Other Mysteries). Sam and I met doing last year’s SQSN, and I’m so proud to be able to call her a friend. What she’s done with this story we cooked up together has been amazing.
