It’s exam season again and I regret not writing my notes throughout the year and having to do them all now 😭

I color coordinated all of my classes and decided to go with yellow for anthropology! 🍯 To be more specific, my anthropology class centers around magic, witchcraft, and religion.

Straight from my journal: “I woke up this morning and everything felt okay. Better. I slept in, watered the plants,  listened to some music while I made breakfast and tea.  It wasn’t bad, for once. I think rest is really important- even when you didn’t know you needed it. Take your time. Reflect. Restart.”

It’s a perfectly rainy, gloomy day in california and the absolute perfect day to stay inside with a cozy cup of tea, get some studying done, and listen to some music. As much as I love going out with my friends, I have to say that I love being such a homebody. I’m hoping there are more fall days like this to come!

I submitted my family law coursework yesterday so with that out of the way I can now focus on revision 🙌🏻 I have MCQ in my exams so today I condensed one topic of my notes on defamation into a few pages of bullet points.

Hey! Did you study math in high school before law? I have a friend who wants to major in Econ, but she dropped math in high school. She wants to know if she can still pursue Economics (there are colleges that accept students who dropped math for Econ courses in my city, but she wants to know if she'll be able to handle the math involved). I wanna help her out. Thanks!

Hey!

Yeah I studied maths in high school. I know some courses don’t require as much knowledge of maths for economics - but the universities are much lower ranked. However, if she’s going to be applying to a good university then maths would be required as there is A LOT involved - differentiation, algebra, stats etc.

My advice would be for her to look up online what modules she would be taking and how mathematical they are and if possible she should call up and ask them?

27 Sept ‘18 // Working in my college library this morn on some reading for my thesis. Cambridge is still yawning from the summer, weirdly quiet and gradually shading into myriad oranges. Michaelmas term officially resumes in a week, and the undergraduates start arriving in full force this weekend.

Hi! I am also a law student :)) I just want to ask how do you prepare yourself for graded recitations in your law classes? And how do you answer the prof well during recitation? :)) Thank you!

Hey! I’m assuming you’re not from the U.K.? I never had to do recitations so I don’t think I can really help you! But if I were you I would go through my notes and pick out the key points?
