Everyone on twitter trying to justify Snowbaird/Snowjanus by claiming that they ship it in an unproblematic, “true-love-conquers-evil” kind of way. Not me though. I enjoy that shit BECAUSE it’s fucked up

love how, when a prequel to The Hunger Games was announced that would focus on Snow, people were worried that Suzanne Collins was going to try and humanise him and make us sympathise with him, but I finally read it and hate him more than ever. arrogant & twisted fuck. ily Suzanne

Let’s believe that once, many years ago, the Hunger Games tributes decided to not fight each other to the death in the arena. But instead to help each other survive as long as possible.

The kids wanted everyone to see who really is killing 23 of them every year.

(Remember who the real enemy is)

They fought for each other, fought everything the Gamemakers threw at them!

And after this games the Capitol decided to let 1, 2 and 4 train, to eventually become the Careers.

Thus, there will never be an alliance like that ever again, since the kids will never be equal from the very beginning of the games.

Your thoughts?

i think the most frustrating part about tbosas is the fact that you want to root for coryo. you want him to be a better man for lucy gray. you want him and sejanus to become closer, to become the best friends sejanus believes them to be. you want him to run away and find a way to relearn all the oppressive and tyrannical ideals the capitol instilled in him.

but that’s not what happens.

coriolanus isn’t necessarily a good person. he’s not a bad person either, not yet, but he’s no where near good. and rather than try to be good, he gives up, he lets himself “go bad”, he rats out sejanus, he lets his anger get the best of him and loses lucy gray.

the idea that coryo could be a good person but chooses not to be is exactly the reason this book and this character are brilliant.
