She shrugged it off like it was nothing, but then squeezed his hand back. "They were idiots, you know," she said, referring to the girls Damon was talking about earlier. "I know," she said. "But, just because Angel and Spike loved me back doesn't mean there was no pain. Like with Angel, his curse sort of ruined everything and Spike and I were mortal enemies for years." That's when it her: even though Damon was a vampire, this was probably the most relatively normal relationship (or whatever they were calling it) that she'd ever been part of.
