“Seriously?” Caroline stopped, giving  Elena a look. “You’re gonna let LITTLE DONOVAN have all my thunder?” Yeah…yeah technically Vicki had been first. But it was easier to let that all slip to the back of her head. Every death, everything that had happened before things were out in the open. “Retail therapy, Salvatore edition.” She grinned, waving her wallet playfully before stuffing it back into her bag.

“Well yeah, technically she was the first to be turned because of me. If only I hadn’t been out on family night.” She always felt the guilt, because of that one night, Stefan had saved her, Damon had followed and she screwed up the entire town. “I think that sounds like an excellent plan, maybe I should get a little black dress just to tease the pair of them. Show them what they are gonna miss out on.” She chuckled as she began to feel better, it took a lot for Elena to feel happy these days, but being alone with Caroline would help.

Oh, well, he didn’t know that was her reason behind wanting to recruit him. That changed a lot of things.She wanted people to help her with saving the world because everything was going to shit. “Alright, well – I can definitely deal with that. Who else have you asked?” 

“I need to go find Oliver Queen, he is on our radar as well, there are a few people but we just want to keep who we want to recruit quiet, just until we have enough fire power.” Natasha explained as her hands went through her bags, searching for her phone to let Fury know The Flash wasn’t coming with her.

“At some point, but right now, you need to make your mark.” 

Lydia nodded, focus on the road. “It is good. It is what we deserve. Sun and fun. No dicks.”

“All chicks no dicks.” Caroline chuckled before realising what she had said. “Wait, not like that, oh stop me before my foot goes further into my mouth.” 

   “Yeah TELL ME about it, I was victim number one.” Caroline rolled her eyes, bumping against Elena’s shoulder with a small smile. “You do realize that the only reason all these people are getting put into near death situations is because we’d all DIE for you, right? — Don’t worry about it. I might’ve taken Damon’s credit card from his wallet the other night, we can just use that.”

“Actually, Care, Vicki was, she was turned and she tried to kill Jer. We couldn’t let her try to kill or kill anyone else.” Elena hated remembering that night before everyone else found out, but she had to shake that memory out of her head before she began to tear up again. “I’d die for you to Care, you know that right? It doesn’t mean I like that you all would do that for me, though.” Elena had to stifle a laugh when she heard what Caroline had done. “Okay, let's max his card out then.” 

          “i’ll try my hardest not to get mad but there are absolutely no promises from ME.”

“I can live with that, I just don’t know how much the others can.” Harley picked up her bat and swung it over her shoulders, walking towards the alleyway there the grate on the ground, would take the pair to where she and the rest of the squad stayed.

          “fine – i’ll hurt but NOT kill.”

“Alright sweetheart, but no getting angry at me when I do lady. Lemme take ya to where we all hide.” 

“I’m thinking I should probably stop talking.” He sighed, leaning back as she worked on him. “I’m all yours. Do as you wish.”

“Would you let me force you do things? I have a few tricks up my sleeve that I would want to try.” The vampire was actually being nice, asking before using compulsion on the willing male.

“If I’m not being forced to come with you then you’re – what? What are you trying to get from me?” Barry asked with a raised brow, watching as her hands clasped in front of her body. 

“I’m trying to find people to help save the world, everything is going to shit and I have seen what you can do. But I don’t want to force you to follow me.” Natasha was trying the whole let’s be nice treatment towards others, but the widow inside wanted to pounce.

          “so you… want me to HURT innocent people??”

“Hurt, kill, they both mean the same thing to me.”

“Well, I know that there are more bags that I anticipated. But we have the room. Given the fact it is just us. It just means we aren’t picking up any strays on the way.”

“I didn’t want to pick up any strays, it’s just going to be us. That’s all it needs to be, a girls road trip, no one else.”  

   “EXACTLY!” Caroline grinned, straightening up slightly. “Plus we can have like actual time alone without the Salvatores leering in. God this’ll be fun! I mean…minus all the…murder and stuff.” Her smile faded for a second before she shrugged it off. “Alright well, I think we should probably get going before your guard dogs catch on.”

Elena didn’t know how to react to the excitement coming off of her best friend. “I will like to limit the amount of murder and death, it just seems to follow me.” The pairs excitement died down before she nodded, knowing that both Stefan and Damon would follow them. “We better hurry, should I pack anything?”

“You better rethink the way you talk as well, or there will be nothing given to you. No satisfaction.” She hissed as she nodded, her eyes turning soft before her sharp nail pricked skin on his neck, the vampire hungry. “Always, for five hundred years.”
