Idk if you’ve already answered this but what made you ship hitomina??? (Btw you’ve successfully dragged me into hitomina hell :’) they’re adorable!!!!!!)
Well, at first, it was really just because they were my favourite characters, and seeing them together made me happy.
But now, I think it’s more about how they could have a great complementary chemistry ( A bit like Uraraka and Bakugou ). Shinsou is the clever, serious, cold, reserved, silent type, while Mina is more of the silly, funny, social, out-going, loud type. Total opposites. I tend to like this kind of friendship, or relationship, because each can give something to the other, that the other lacks.
For example: Mina could bring a more positive way of thinking to Shinsou. Show him how to trust and love people around him. Give him the attention and the affection that he seems to lack. And Shinsou could show her how to be more serious and more tactical. He wouldn’t make Mina any less kind or cheerful, but he could make her character grow up. ( I have this little headcanon that, when Mina was really really young, she was cast out because of her appearence and her quirk. And she grew up wanting to be friend with everyone as a way to never feel as lonely as she was before…. That also may be why I like to imagine her and Shinsou interacting. Because they could have similar backstories, but still ended up becoming two very different persons… )
But at the end of the day, it’s really just for the fun of imagining my faves alongside each other, and I don’t take it too seriously. I just hope we’ll get to see more Mina content ( Hopefully a little backstory ), and more Shinsou screen time, because HE DESERVES IT!!!
