Do y'all remember being a kid and trying to read in the car while it was dark outside and your parents wouldn’t let you turn on the light so you would try to grab snatches of sentences when you passed by street lights

Tale of The Artist Who Photographs Beauties in Gowns Against Idyllic Backgrounds
Cappadocia, Turkey, Finolhu, Maldives, Poppies Field, Crimea, Louvre, Paris, France are few of the many scenic places where artist Kristina Makeeva has travelled to juxtapose elegant fashion against phenomenal architecture for her photographic compositions.

sorting kids by ‘intelligence’ and ‘giftedness’ is literally useless, even harmful by promoting a sense of superiority/inferiority, and strongly works to reinforce the class system thru the lie of meritocracy, and all kids deserve the same quality of education and to be treated with an equal capacity for learning thats my hot take for today
yes this is absolutely true in an ideal world. in Finland, which has an almost entirely homogenous population, all kids are put in the same classrooms and given the same opportunities to education. this is so incredible and does wonders for eradicating superiority/inferiority as said, as well as being efficient and building a strong community. to no surprise, Finland is called the best education system in the world. but the problem is that in the US, we have highly diverse children coming from all sorts of different backgrounds who have wildly different needs when it comes to education. we have kids who quite literally have no space or ability at home to do their homework, who have never been expected to do anything better with their life than get a minimum wage job, who can so easily be out on the streets at shockingly young ages. next to kids who are given every resource from the age of preschool, whose parents push them and push them and expect them to do something great with their life, who don't know what it feels like to not be good at something. I've witnessed both groups of kids in education, and I know for a fact that their needs are drastically different. I'm not saying that this post is wrong, but it is a lot more complicated than that. unfortunately there's no easy solution to the education crisis we're in.
something about mornings spent with your dog and the empty air ones where the trees are more yellows than blues, new and too early but unwavering ones where the breeze slips by cooling the sweat below your arms, boosting you up high into the crisp skies ones where even when you wipe your lips with your shirt sleeve the smudge a note still remains pressed into the corner of your mouth like a first kiss
