Our GM and officers have been thinking long and hard of how we want to respond to the recent events. I'll just get straight to the point that we -do not- in any way, shape, or form condone nazism. That's not what we're about at all and we stand firm on this. Our purpose is to bring rp to the community through emergency medical and guard services, to whomever wants it. The cross we use on our banner is to 'replicate' the Red cross foundation and has nothing at all to do with any sort of hate filled anything. As far as our mistake on not noticing the ad cross right away, we own it, and sincerely apologize for any offense it brought to anyone. It was not our intention and we have taken action to fix it. However, in order to do our part to keep Stormwind safe, the unit is looking for all able bodies willing to serve and protect Stormwinds people to contribute! Our unit functions under the High King Anduin Wrynn’s law and order, and do not function as a military body. Haha! Yes! The criminals have to cease activity on our days off XD. Lol but yeah in all seriousness we as a whole definitely need breaks. Hopefully the community is forgiving. I did a count and since we started the ERU we’ve treated 560 patients in the clinic. Time for a little breather.
((Due to the high volume of rp that comes in and out of the ERU facility, along with some very recent stressful and dark rp that has been brought to us on multiple occasions at the clinic, we as a guild have decided to take a small step back.
As much as we love being here for the server and serving the community, we don’t ever really have time for ourselves or our own story-lines.
To fix this, we will be taking ‘days off’ so we have time to focus on ourselves too. We’ve been at this for 6 months straight every single day and we don’t want our people to burn out with the recent events.
We are still running the Emergency Hospital, and the City Guard branch, nothing there will change, and we will still be at the ERU facility on our days we are working.
We are aware not everyone will like this since we have a good handful of walk ins daily, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may bring.
Our days off will be Sunday, Wednesday, and Friday. Thank you for being understanding and patient with us. Remember to be kind to one another!))
((First and foremost, we want to extend a huge thank you to those who have accepted our city guard/ policing branch into the community. We have had some very successful interactions with the public. Those who have been willing to play along, communicate oocly (which is huge), and allowed us a chance through roll systems to make arrests after we've either obtained a warrant or during an on scene arrest. As well as us giving them a chance for their character to escape.
We have recently made a change to our dispatch. We have moved over from the old Guarddispatcher to the ERUdispatcher channel as to not interfere with others who have wanted to answer dispatch calls outside of the ERU. We don't want anyone to feel obligated or forced to RP with us. If you'd like an EMT to respond to your dispatch call, or a city guard from our Unit, please /join ERUdispatcher in game for your emergency needs!
Our emergency room/infirmary is still up and running daily. We have had the pleasure of meeting some amazing roleplayers and made so many new friends along the way. We plan to continue to serve your IC medical needs to the best of our abilities.
We are currently working on training new city guards, we have some upcoming interns working on getting promoted into our policing branch. So please be kind and be patient with us while we work on building our team.

Can non-eru guards/healers/etc still respond to people calling for help? Because I've been barked at a few times to leave whenever I've tried to help since I wasn't in ERU and I was too afraid to speak up or argue it. I'm too scared to engage situations now and I'm not comfortable playing in a guild with people I don't know outside of the game. :( What should I do?

The ERU prides itself on being inclusive, diverse, and mindful of the community. This behavior isn’t how we aim to treat others in any light, and the fact you’re now uncomfortable engaging with others breaks my heart. Went to you guys to treat a gunshot wound and a stab wound last night. Treatment was great and Kalec was wonderful. Wait time however was a good 10 minutes.

Kalrec would walk through the streets of Stormwind, bitter and angry. The freshly patched bullet-hole in his arm would still sting, but he wouldn’t care. He had him in his hands..
A patient came to the door, like any other. He seemed innocent enough…but a patient cried out that he was the one who sent her here! Celestine shouted to catch him! Kal panicked, he didn’t know what to do! He grabbed the man tightly, lifting him off the ground. He’d complain he was stabbed, and Kalrec would even try to avoid the wounds so as to not hurt the man. He only wanted to treat him…
…the guards were called. They always made Kal nervous. He didn’t want to stand before them and defend himself, because people with records like him tend not to. He saw where the fool ran, and tried to follow the scent. It was faint… weak…and barely traceable.
He didn’t even recognize the fool when he was before him! And the bastard got away, firing off a round into Kal’s shoulder as he ran back to whatever hole he crawled from. Kalrec had failed to catch him, failed to track him until the last moment, and failed even to get anything to help the man be caught…
It would be a long walk through Elwynn this night. One that would not end with Kalrec stepping into his door. He didn’t care if Aria was waiting anymore…he didn’t think to rest for duty…he failed. He wanted to forget it…and he saw a good method to do so before him. A wine bottle…and his old axe beside the fireplace. A battleaxe, now used to cutting firewood. Kal would hesitate; though in the end he would choose to grab them both. A pop of the cork and the dragging of the steel blade could be heard as he’d head out for a night of divulging in old habits…

Rumors have spread across Stormwind of a mysterious Celestial Church mailing propaganda and various artifacts to leaders and citizens alike across the city. The letters appear similar in content and style, but do not have a return address attached. Any attempts to seek out the leaders of this movement have been unsuccessful.
The letters started out somewhat innocuous, a simple recruitment letter calling out to those who felt unsafe or uncomfortable. It also had a strange necklace attached.

The next arrived days later, proposing to the reader that the church was ignoring a fourth virtue.

The third began to take on ominous tones, implying that you the reader were being watched.

The fourth began to make assumptions about the reader, offering freedom in exchange for freeing them from some undefined force.

It was at this time that Miss Elthron, the owner of the Courier, contacted this author to begin investigating.
The next two letters take on much more ominous tones, arriving with a coded message.

The first seemed to be using an alphabetical cipher, reportedly an Arrakoan one as an Arrakoan artifact that was attached.
After scholars put this through a cipher, they found the following:
Brothers and sisters, the stars have come into alignment, the new moon rises, and we rise alongside it! Those newly ascended will struggle when the change come, but make no mistake you are prepared. The church has molded you for this single purpose. During this crucial time, trust no one but your fellow celestials! Your neighbors are blinded by falsehood and will only stand in your way. Begin the rituals close the circle. We are one with the stars and shall release them from their prison!
The sixth and most current letter had another language attached. One of the Courier’s own found someone who could break the code. It had a shadowgem attached

When translated, it revealed the following:

The circle must be completed. See that The chosen Host reaches the seat of the Crystal King. When the twelth bell rings And the dark moon is most full, let the Prison above be broken below.
It is the opinion of this author that the Celestial Church is not a friendly organization. While they claim to have recruiters about, we at the Courier have been unable to find anyone who actually represents them. Any and all attempts to reach out have been unsuccessful. While we thought that this might just be an alternative interpretation of the Light at one point, the last two letters point to something more sinister that may culminate in the near future, with potential roots in Old Gods. What does that entail? It isn’t clear. If you have received these letters, we suspect you may be targeted as one of the so-called ‘faithful’. Please act in a secure manner and stay safe.
