I have released an updated full transition video on my YouTube account. Long time no see Tumblr! There was a time back in 2017 or so when if you searched this app for "transgender woman", my blog was the first one to come up. As my transition moved on I also moved on from posting regularly about it. I have continued a social media presence but my focus moved on into being both a Twitch streamer and YouTube partner. After producing the weekly Transvengers show during the years of the pandemic with Mikealaville, VictoriaMaximus and ItsEmily247, I now produce a weekly talk show for the Star Citizen community and constantly work on content creation for my other channels (maidenariana on both twitch and youtube). I never hide my trans identity and talk about it from time to time in the various communities I have become apart of. The Star Citizen community in particular has embraced me and I highly recommend checking it out if you enjoy scifi games. This is more of a check in post to say hello and to say that I plan to resume posting here on Tumblr as I approach some new milestones in my transition. I hope you all are well! -Ariana

When I get a chance to let my hair air dry, this is the result. It feels and looks amazing for about 24 hours, then with a little product and revitalizing I might get another day of curly goodness. I used to be able to get more days in a row with it but since I am attempting to let hair keep growing as long as possible.. it is not as easy as it used to be 😊. There are times when I miss my inverted bob style cut because when I let my curls go then, they would hold nice and tightly and look a little more playful. Yesterday my mom (pictured on the right) turned 75. I recently texted the photo of me on the left to her and she just loved my hair styled this way. I told her it was heavily teased on the top/back. She replied, "I guess that's why I love it - haha!" She has always loved big hair and still styles hers with a late 60's flair with modern twists. I tend to take after her in really loving those big hair styles. My mom is the primary source of the kind heart that I grew up with. While some in my family were very slow to accept my transition and still struggle with respecting pronouns etc.. my Mom and now mostly by her example, my Dad.. have both finally gotten it. It took 7 years of knowing this and of experiencing my transition for them to both consistently treat me as their daughter after having to grieve the feeling of loss of their first born son. They never stopped showing love and support but their struggle to think of me differently and fully accept my transition was very real and hard for them. I share all of this just to express that although it was at times brutal for me to visit them and be occasionally or regularly misgendered, and to be excluded from certain things because of other family members.. I deeply love my parents and they both have fully "come around." I still miss certain family events but I feel at peace with my parents and I sense they feel the same with me when we are together. The tension that was always there during visits as my transition commenced finally feels like a thing of the past. I hope this brings hope to those like me that are not yet in this situation. To parents of trans people.. it is okay to grieve and take time to "get it right" as long as you truly are trying and showing love consistently along the way. I know my insta account has mostly been streaming announcements and such lately. I have been keeping myself busy this winter by working hard on content creation for topics that I truly enjoy. For me it is essential to keep moving and challenging myself during the winter or I quickly slip into seasonal depression. New Years celebrations are always interesting as a trans person. We are some of the most resilient people on this planet. We look ahead with hope. However, we hear the tally of murdered trans people the prior year who were killed simply for existing. Couple this with the reports of the new bigoted and hateful laws that are both going into effect and that will be introduced in coming sessions and we all know what is to come. Constant survival mode. Why do supposedly kind and religious people hate us? We think we can make them understand if they just knew us. We think we can make them include us in that supposed love they are so good at making a show of. But no. They are modern day Pharisees. They have been poisoned by hate and no longer know how to truly love. The church no longer truly exists in America and what is left has openly declared me its enemy. I was used to be the one my parents turned to for saying grace before meals because I could eloquently ask for a blessing. I used to believe. I used have faith in the church and it's people. I had faith that they would eventually practice what their creator tried to teach them. That faith was misplaced. They have declared us enemies though we are innocents. The want to abandon us, push us aside, erase us before we hatch, and kill us. Still we persist. Still we exist. Still we continue to be born correctly just as we are, just as we were designed by our creator.. to be trans.. to be a challenge for their false love.. to be the love the world needs. I still love them. The people of this earth, those in the churches and those outside of it. I will not forget the slivers of love and acceptance I have found. I hold onto it for my very life. Others need it to. Help us allies. It is only going to get more difficult. I intend to fight. I intend to live. I intend to thrive.
