as a writer i have two modes

1 - Writing is my calling. My passion. My purpose. Without writing I will crumble and fade, never to be restored. I am writing.

2 - What’s writing lol

“Jesus christ eat the goddamn mac and cheese.” scowls the hero “I can hear your stomach growling through your armor, you know.”

The villain blinks “You-”

“Are feeding you, yes. If all I wanted to do was punch people and throw criminals in jail, I would’ve become a vigilante. Heroism involves kindness, dipshit.”

“Heroism involves kindness, dipshit” is the most amazing phrase I’ve ever read. I need to incorporate it into all my work.

Suit's First Book TAG

So, I've written a book TAG. Feels free to participate if you want, my friends.

1. Do you do bookstagram?

I always want to try doing it, but I also don't think I would take pictures of books that are as pretty as the ones I'm used to seeing.

2. Favorite book title?

"Fortunately, the Milk", Neil Gaiman. Haven't read the book yet, but the title really makes me want to.

3. Replace a word in a book title with the word 'puppy'.

The Darkest Puppy of the Forest, the new book by Holly Black.

4. What's a book you'll never read, despite everyone throwing it at your face?

The Song of Ice and Fire series. I really have no interest in reading it, so stop throwing books at me!

5. What kind of drunk would your current favorite character be?

Rowan Whitethorn would be a cuddly or a horny drunk, probably...

6. If you could choose a fantasy/sci-fi universe to live in and a race you could become, what would you choose?

The Throne of Glass universe and I'd really want to be a Demi-Fae that can control water and a little bit of fire. The dream I can only live in imagination.

7. Which book are you currently reading?

It's still Queen of Shadows, don't judge me, I have had a reading hangover.

Book TAG

I wasn’t tagged, but I want to do this.

  1. Favourite book of all time?  Red Queen, Victoria Aveyard (This book got me back to reading after a long time)
  2. What are you currently reading? Queen of Shadows, Sarah J. Maas
  3. Have you ever considered writing a book? I am always trying to write short stories. I am currently working on a writing a book, but often times I fail to keep writing every day a habit.
  4. Favourite series? The Lunar Chronicles, Marissa Meyer
  5. Book you’d like to read? I’m definitely going to read the rest of the Throne of Glass series. I’d also like to read Carve the Mark, Lady Midnight and more of Neil Gaiman’s books.
  6. What’s on your Tbr pile? Woah, woah, woah. My pile of shame consists of way too many books. Those I mentioned above, then I have to read the rest of the Fablehaven series, Graceling, the Eragon series (which I’m trying to read because it’s my boyfriend’s favorite series), Five Dark Fates, The Ghosts of the Shadown Market, Broken Throne, The Percy Jackson series and loads of books I can’t remember being on my TBR without looking at goodreads.
  7. Favorite fictional characters? Rowan Whitethorn and Celeana Sardothien (Throne of Glass), Cinder and Cress (The Lunar Chronicles), Bod (The Graveyard Book), Jem and Will (The Infernal Devices) and, finally, Remus Lupin (Harry Potter).
  8. Favourite ship of all time? Rowan + Aelin and Mare + Cal are both my favorite ships. This is love, people!
  9. Pick up the book closest to you, open page one and write down the first paragraph. There was a thing waiting in the darkness. It was ancient, and cruel, and paced in the shadows leashing his mind. It was not of his world, and had been brought here to fill him with its primordial cold. Some invisible barrier still seperated them, but the wall crumbled a little more every time the thing stalked along its length, testing his strength. (Queen of Shadown, Sarah J. Maas)
  10. What’s the 1st fandom you were in? The first fandom I can remember being in, is the Supernatural fandom.

Whenever I re-read one of your books my dad acts like I'm being stupid for reading them again (even though those are some of my favorites). It makes me lose the motivation to read and also effects my self esteem. What should I do?

Wait until your dad does something he enjoys for the second time and then ask him to explain why he’s doing it again.

I really love Neil Gaiman’s writing, if you have not noticed.

People think dreams aren’t real just because they aren’t made of matter, of particles. Dreams are real. But they are made of viewpoints, of images, of memories and puns and lost hopes.

One Book TAG

Not a single soul has requested me to do this, but I want to do this.

Book that made you cry

Heir of Fire, Sarah J. Maas (It wasn’t even a sad part. I cried because THIS IS HOW LOVE SHOULD BE!)

Book that was spoiled for you

I spoiled myself for the Throne of Glass series by accident. I went on its Wikia and there it was. A chart on who marries who.

First time you fell in love with a book

Red Queen, Victoria Aveyard. (This book got me back into reading after a while of reading just a handful of books a year.)

First time you couldn’t stop smiling because of a book/character

I don’t remember the first time that it had happened, but recently it happened when I read Fablehaven. Kendra is one sassy queen.

First person who had a real impact on your reading

@jessethereader thank you very much. (Basically, watching one of his videos pulls me right out of a reading slump.)
