A German woman is overcome as she is forced to witness the crimes committed in her name and with her permission, Nammering, Germany. 17 May 1945
You can't fool me, I know there's no way you're actually John Green. I know a gimmick blog when I see one.
Here is a video I made over a year ago about running this tumblr. It has my face and voice in it. Hopefully that's sufficient proof!
I want to be very clear though that it's fine that 1. so many people don't think that I'm me (and on some level they're right; I'm not really me. I'm a coffee company that donates its profit to charity!)
and
2. so many people reblogging my stuff don't know that it's me sharing it (I don't need tumblr at large, if there even still is a tumblr at large, to be intruding into this strange and lovely thing we've got going).
I just like it here. Which, like, if you've told me that in 2015, I would've told you that's literally impossible.

“a community without romance risks being brutish and crass, superficial and brittle, cruel and even muderous. . . i don’t mean just romantic romance. i don’t just mean erotic romance. . . i mean the romance that allows us to soften our voices when we see each other.”

Does anyone have the fucking tiktok video of the overly enthusiastic rich bearded guy showing off his new hiking shoes in his Mansion and the Woods, but then another dude duets with it to make it look like he's escaping from being held prisoner please please
edit THANKS @smellslikebot

Just a reminder that the RNLI, these guys, are for the majority unpaid volunteers. It's a charity organization, very dissimilar to the likes of the US Coast Guard.
1926: “This girl has all of [the] trends and she’s not loath to wear them at once: bell earrings, a dog collar worn as a necklace, a large beauty spot on her cheek, an ivory cigarette holder, a design to cover the vaccination mark on her arm, heavy bracelets, an anklet, a photo of a boyfriend on her stocking, an anklet watch, fancy garters worn below the knee and a mirror fastened to her wrist.”
Waiting for wristwatch anklets to make a comeback
I’m loving the photo on the stocking.
1) The concept of cutting out a picture of your partner and walking around with it attached to your leg is very funny. I had no idea this was ever a thing; imagine if we brought it back. Seriously, take a minute, imagine that. It’s just wild.
2) Look at that man in the picture. He does not look like he wants to be on a leg.
For a second I thought that was Richard Nixon.
I don't think* he looks that much like Richard Nixon.
But there's just a Nixonian air about him.
(*?? IDK, faces are hard.)
