As they were in the clear Yixing finally looked to the male, being sure to stand away from the other and give him some space. “You did look a bit helpless, yes.” And absolutely handsome, he thought to himself. The male shook his head and turned his attention back to where the other male was standing, offering him a smile. “Well, I could tell that you needed my help and I couldn’t just leave such a good looking man to fend for himself.” Wow, those words were probably a bit too harsh. The male needed to tone it down, he didn’t want to scare the other male away so soon after finally speaking to him. “Oh you don’t have to do that, really if anything you should go home and rest because i’m sure you’re a bit shaken up.” He explained quickly. Truth was, Yixing knew that the second he was asked to eat with someone he was going to say something ridiculous, like talk about sewers or some shit like that and he’s sure the other male didn’t want to hear about that.
ming-hua couldn’t help but laugh at the males comment. most people stayed away from him because he seemed cold, yet yixing had taken one look at him and decided that he looked helpless. his heart skipped a beat when he heard yixing call him good looking and he tried to hide his face before it turned bright red. “well thank you for coming and rescuing me.” he quickly ran a hand through his hair before instinctively grabbing the other males arm, releasing it once he realized how weird that looked. “please, I insist. it’s the least I can do. most people would have just left me to fend for myself but you..you came and helped me. you deserve some type of food for that.” he gave yixing a small smile before pouting slightly, a light whine leaving his mouth. “come on, let me do this one thing for you. it’ll be fun!”

“i think you’re being ridiculous if you think that kidnapping was appropriate.” Seungkwan said with a giant grin. “I’m never too busy for you hyung, please know that.” Seungkwan felt horrible for not giving the hyungs of his group enough attention, they worked just as hard as he did and they deserved that recognition as well. Seungkwan finished his food, setting his drink down once it was empty before looking back at the other with a laugh. “You think you’re amazing?” He teased, kicking him lightly under the table. “See, they’re being ridiculous.” Seungkwan pointed out with a grin, a small chuckle escaping past his lips. “well, i’m happy to go with you, as long as everything is in order for while we’re gone then i’d love to go on a mini vacation with you.”
“yah it could have been a good idea, you just have to have a little bit of faith!” haneul said with a smile. “I know you’re not too busy, but I don’t want to burden you when you have other members you need to focus on. what I want isn’t important when it comest to the whole group.” he said with a shrug. haneul wasn’t jealous, he appreciated all the time seungkwan spent tending to everyone’s problems in the group, but haneul still worried about seungkwan. he didn’t want him stretched so thin that he wasn’t setting enough time aside for himself. “well then you’re in luck. everything is prepared for you and like I said, everything here is already in order. you deserve a vacation, so i’m glad you’ve agreed to go on one.” he chuckled, running a hand through his hair. “we should probably head back though, we need to get to the airport before our flight leaves without us!”

that prompted a tiny smile. “boo,” zhen muttered, burying her head in his chest and curling up into him, heart finally slowing to a slower pace. she knew it was just a reflex, and she understood why. she’d have to be more prudent in the future. she didn’t want to get hurt on accident, or even worse, scare him like this again. “i scared you first, kihyun– i think we’re even in that aspect,” she pointed out softly.
she was reluctant as she followed him, still worried, though she figured it was a good sign– he was going to bed. that would surely help him, especially if he was right and he was just tired, though zhen couldn’t help but feel like there was more. maybe he didn’t want to tell her, and that was okay. and maybe she was just seeing things that weren’t there, but she couldn’t help it. she just wanted him to be happy. “i care too little about you. you deserve so much more,” she answered stubbornly. “i woke up with a headache, but that’s gone now. and then i saw an empty bed and got worried– and i was right. you need sleep more than i do. i get plenty. you’re the one who runs on mere hours at a time.”
as she crawled in beside him, cozying up and wrapping her limbs around his middle, she rolled her eyes. “that’s kind of hypocritical coming from you, you know. i’m always worried you’re not sleeping enough,” zhen murmured, pulling up the blankets around both of them. “you’re right. we both could. i sleep if you promise to too.”
“what kind of promise is that?! you need to sleep. i’ll wait until you’re asleep.” he said with a small smile as he wrapped his arms around her. he may have been exhausted, but years in his line of business made him wary of being the first to go to sleep. he doesn’t think of himself as a paranoid guy, but that didn’t mean that he wouldn’t make sure nothing bad would happen when his senses weren’t heightened.
he wasn’t sure when he actually fell asleep, but before he knew it sunlight was streaming in through the bedroom window and he let out a soft groan. he was glad he didn’t have any jobs lined up at the moment so he didn’t have to worry about being late for any meeting he had. he made his way out of the bed and walked towards the bathroom, grabbing a t-shirt on the way. even half asleep his mind was reeling with a thousand thoughts a minute, trying to calculate everything he needed to do before the end of the day.
once he had finished washing up, he made his way to the kitchen and got himself a glass of water before sitting at the table and leaning his head against the cool wood. a headache was starting to brew and he knew if he didn’t baby it now that it would grow into a migraine and he couldn’t handle that at this moment. “fuck, why do I always get headaches at the worst time.”

“I think my professors would hate me if I let you do that,” he laughs. “But, I would forever be grateful having you helping me out.” It was so nice knowing he had a roommate that would actually help him when assignments just began piling on top of each other and sleep seemed to be nonexistent. Bless that he had Jaeeun as a roommate. He probably might be suffering less if he had Jaeeun helping him. He would help Jaeeun too with whatever assignments the male had too in return. It would make him feel bad if he let Jaeeun help him and he didn’t do anything in return. “I’ll be glad to help you out too since you’re helping me out.”
“well if your professors give you any hell you tell them to shoot me an email and i’ll give them a talking too.” he said jokingly. he had tried pulling the same thing with his professors early on, but none of them bought it. according to them he didn’t ever look ‘tired enough’, even though Jaeeun wasn’t sleeping throughout the whole night they didn’t seem like they were going to let him turn things in late. “that’s not necessary, i’m actually ahead in all my classes for the first time in my life.” he said laughing. “it’ll never happen again though, I don’t even know how I managed to get ahead. must be a fluke.”

Suwon nodded and motioned with his hands in his pockets that they should start wandering away from the scene of the hopefully non crime. “Sadly I don’t think it’s just work that makes me so tired. I think it’s also the fact that the guy who lives above me has a fetish for Enya and bongos. At the weirdest hours. I’ve thought about complaining to management, but all that would do is make me an enemy and I really dislike having those. Peace, love and uh… yeah, I dunno. Maybe I should just write him a note. ‘Dear Sir, will you please stop playing the theme song from ‘Far & Away’ at 5AM? I work odd hours and sometimes I like to take naps and your music choices ruin those chances.’ Think he’d get mad?”
“Also,” Suwon smiled softly, watching his breath appear in the cool of the evening air. “No need to pay for it. That would be kinda shitty of me to make you pay for both of us, right? I can handle my own meal. Just keep me company until we can get back in the building and everything will be cool.” And as if to emphasize the word cool, the tall male felt a shiver run down his spine. “Jesus, I hope they have the heat on in there. If not, I’m slipping them some money to crank it.”
jieun couldn’t help but laugh, she knew all too well how it felt to have a noisy neighbor. “i think as long as you don’t actually say your name, you won’t get any enemies.” she said with a shrug. “besides, maybe he’ll even listen to you and actually keep it quiet for a bit. it could be worse though, it sounds like I have a tap dancing classroom above my apartment. I swear even as we were evacuating the building my neighbor was tapping away to some unknown song.” she said with a roll of her eyes. jieun liked her sleep, in fact she treasured it, but her neighbor seemed to be making it her mission to mess that up for her.
“if you insist, but I don’t mind paying for your meal. especially since you lent me your clothes.” she said with a small smile. even if it was a short walk to the small restaurant it felt longer simply because of the cold. “if they don’t have the heat on then they’re stupid. it feels like it’s negative fifty degrees out here.” she said, half whining and half laughing. once they arrived jieun made sure to hold the door open for suwon before entering herself, and then finding a booth to sit at. “have you eaten here before? I like to eat here at least a couple of times a week. they’re always very kind to me here.”

“i don’t know why you’re suddenly so interested in caring about what I do in my own time.” jaehyun said as he held an ice pack against the side of his face. he made it his mission to not talk about what he did in his spare time, mainly because most people looked down on criminals. he’d been stealing things since he was a kid, but what started as small objects from family and friends turned into a full blown addiction. sure he had a lavish house and everything he could possibly want, but it came at a price. today was just a perfect example at why what he did wasn’t a good job, his target had come home early and a scuffle had ensued. luckily he didn’t see jaehyun’s face and jaehyun made it out with just one bruise.
“it’s not that big of a deal, and it’s none of your business what I do. I don’t bother you with what you do, so let’s just drop it okay?” he asked, shoving the ice pack back in the freezer and grabbing a bottle of water out of the fridge. his body was aching but his face hurt more. he made a mental note to go to the gym this week, he needed to be able to defend himself better if something like this happened again. “let’s just eat or something, i’m starving.”
Falling for Innocence | Taeil & Jenissi
jenissi was freaking out, no one else knew and he didn’t want anyone else to know. how many entertainment companies were going to sign someone who was terminally ill? and now that taeil knew he held all the power, he could tell anyone and that would be it for him. he put his monitoring equipment away and quickly followed the male to his room, panic setting into his chest. taeil couldn’t tell anyone, what was he going to do with this new information? his manager would kill him if he found out this information was discovered, they couldn’t let it leave this building.
he caught up to the male and opened the door to his room, glaring at him angrily. “hey, you little shit!” he bellowed, stepping into the room and shutting the door. “ever heard of knocking?” he asked shortly. he took a deep breath, calming his nerves before looking at him with glaring eyes. “how much do you know? because i can’t have anyone else knowing how bad this is so you need to promise that you won’t tell anyone what you saw or so help me god i will destroy you.”
“yah I could say the same to you!” taeil screeched, jumping when his bedroom door opened with a bang. “I don’t know anything! everything I just saw is the extent of what I know.” he said once his heart rate settled. “all I saw was a heart monitor, I don’t even know why you had one. for all I know you were just playing around with someone else's stuff.” he said quickly, trying to diffuse the situation. taeil knew that wasn’t the case, it was obvious that Jenissi had some sort of condition he just didn’t know what it was. “what’s even wrong with you? you don’t look sick..” his voice trailed off as he thought back to all the training they’d been doing over the past few months.
he didn’t intend to get angry, but suddenly a rage filled taeil that he couldn’t control until he glaring at the other male. “did they guarantee you a spot in the group?” he asked through clenched teeth. “are they only putting you on this show for views? that’s rich.” he knew it probably wasn’t true. jenissi was a hard worker, and judging from how hard he’d been working the whole time he was on the show, taeil never even suspected that he was handed anything. if anything, he was the hardest worker on the show, but taeil still had to know if it was true. he didn’t want to continue on the show if it meant people were already guaranteed spots.
