I have been gone for quite a while, haven’t I? 😅 

It honestly wasn’t my intention to be gone from Tumblr and writing for as long as I have, but life has been a whirlwind. 

- Mom in hospital (doing better)

- Dad in hospital (mostly better)

- Three family members passed 

- Possibly career change / going back to school 

- Plus numerous other things that I would rather not get into 

Mentally I am doing decent, physically I am okay but I’m trying my best with the cards that I have been dealt. I will probably only get to write a little still, but I am going to try and at least be a bit present instead of total radio silent because that isn’t fair to people that have been so kind to me. 

So if anyone ever wants to talk, I would LOVE to hear from some of y’all. Will be a little slow to answer compared to before, but still looking forward to life with a smile on my face. 😊

A/N: It has been such a long time since I have written anything and I think you can tell by the quality of this chapter compared to previous parts. I don’t know if anyone would still like to tag along to this story but if you wished to be untagged, just let me know.

AN: Thanks a bunch @vikingstrash for being patient with me and making the really great dividers and moodboards, and hope y’all enjoy this as I might write a series for these two.

Since the world seems to be going crazy over a young woman of color taking on the role of the little mermaid, I decided why not try it myself. Personally I don’t mind it, mermaids are mythical creatures and don’t see what all the fuss is about. 

As a Latina myself, we have only had Coco and Encanto from what I can tell. But that’s enough that little kids will see me and ask if I’m Mirabel, with the short curly hair, round glasses and Spanish, it’s not surprising. 

If growing up I had Brandy as Cinderella, then I don’t see why we can’t have Halle Bailey as the Little Mermaid.

So..... it’s been a while 😅 

I didn’t mean to be gone for so long but combination; going to another country, mom’s surgery, my own oral surgery, a diagnosis, small family trip, and going back to work it leaves little time for anything. 

Hopefully this cover makes up for it! I think within the next few weeks I should get back into the groove of things and start posting some more stuff.
