“Had things not been as crazy as they were at the time and for the last few months, I promise you I would have been to Vancouver to meet him those first few days,” he smiled, but didn’t take his eyes off Ollie. It was no secret how much Colton loved kids, it was something he wouldn’t be able to hide even if he wanted to considering he knew how in love he looked in this moment. “I’ve been pretty good, actually. I’m really feeling like myself again, which is awesome,” he nodded with a grin, looking over to Melissa finally as the dogs joined them on the couch. Colton used his free hand to love on the pups for a moment before giving his attention back to Ollie. “Tell me all about you and this show you’re doing!”

“Don’t worry, I get it and I’m glad to know that things seriously have calmed down for you and just know that I’m always here if you want to talk and hey, better late than never right?” She asks with a smile, happy to see the two bonding since it warmed her heart to know that so many people loved and cared for the baby boy in Colton’s arms, it didn’t surprise her, but it definitely made her happy. “That is always awesome and I’m excited to see Roy back on Arrow for this upcoming season, congrats on that!” Mel points out with a grin, reaching over to pet the pups as she laughs. “Oh, I’ve been good! Just finished filming and right now I’m enjoying time with Chris and Ollie as much as I can before we head up to New York. The show is called Beautiful, it’s a musical based off of Carole King’s early career life and it’s going to be so much fun, I’m really looking forward to it, Broadway has always been a dream of mine.”

Exactly, as long as you know that. Either would be fun! We could do a camping trip, someone could stay with Ollie if you’re okay leaving him for a few days again. It would be an experience, I didn’t camp that much but I do like being outside so hopefully I could hold my own out there. It’s going to be the best day ever. Besides Ollie being born.

I really do and I hope you do know that I’m always going to be here for you babe when the roles are reversed. Yeah, it just depends on when we can do it, but we could definitely go camping, maybe my mom and/or sisters can watch him when we go? I think that you could hold your own out there, I’ve got faith in you! Of course! Definitely on the list of best days ever.

I think that’s normal, but I want you to be able to say something. We’re both working on that, right? Opening up instead of keeping it inside. We’ll definitely go back at some point and make some nice memories. I think we just agreed on a time and place for the wedding then! That’s exciting. A year from now, we’ll be getting married.

Okay, if that’s normal, then good, not alone in this feeling then, that’s reassuring and yeah, it’s still hard, but I want to open up to you because I know that I’ll be met with open arms. We could go hiking or camping! Though the latter may have to be when Ollie is either older, or we don’t take him, which I don’t know how to feel about that. I think we did, oh my god! It’s so exciting, I know it’s a year away, but within a blink of an eye, we’ll be married.

Yeah, I get that. But I don’t want you to think of home that way, so we’ll have to go back to make some nice memories again. I guess it depends on the exact month we want to get married. If we decide on May, we’ll be done filming and then really can have it anywhere, like Ohio. If you’re 100% sure you’re okay with that, I’d love to get married there.

I know, I think that it has just started to subconsciously run around in my head, but I didn’t want to not say anything and have it affect me mentally, but I would love for us to make some nice memories there, it will mean..so much. Well, then with May, our options are open and I am 100% sure that I am okay with an Ohio wedding.

Me too, I wish I hadn’t given us both that craving. And that sounds like a perfect Mother’s Day, I’m very happy for you. Cole and I are having a spring wedding too! In May. How cute, we’ll both be spring brides.

..Dammit, now I want a cinnamon roll with extra icing, it’s the best. I got to sleep in just a bit until Ollie got hungry and woke up to an amazing breakfast in bed, everyone was literally just snuggled in together on our bed, it was quite the sight! We went out for a stroll after lunch, I got some gifts from Chris, Ollie, and the pups because they are all the sweetest and had dinner and spent some time with Chris after that and the end! Also, we agreed on having a Spring Wedding!

Yeah we do! Honestly, I love my home state and all, but our trips haven’t always brought the best memories and I don’t know, it’s definitely dampened the mood there just a tinge bit when it come to having a wedding there, but I can start looking at venues in Ohio if you want? Or we could do a neutral territory like LA or Vancouver, both amazing places as well, just depends on whether we’ll stay in Vancouver a bit later after filming, or leave for LA on a weekend to get married either whilst filming or on hiatus.

Colton was wide awake after sleeping so much on the plane coming back to LA from being on tour with Harry for a few days. The jet lag was really messing with him, so he was insanely excited when Melissa invited him to come over and hang out. They hadn’t gotten to do so in so long, and he hadn’t even been able to meet Ollie yet which was an even bigger bonus. The drive didn’t take too long and he was walking up to ring the doorbell in no time. “Hey, Mel!” he said with a huge smile on his face, leaning into the cheek kiss and returning the hug instantly. Once he was inside, he turned and immediately reached to grab Ollie from her hands. “I’ve been waiting for this moment for so long now,” he said happily, the grin on his face even bigger as he held the baby in his arms.

Laughing softly when Colton automatically reaches for Ollie, she carefully hands him over and tilts her head to the side a little. “I know, I’ve wanted you and others to meet him since before he was even born!” Mel responds with a laugh. “And so seeing him meet so many friends and family members has been a lot of fun, but how have you been, babes??” She questions, moving towards the living room so that they could sit down on the couch as Farley, Drift, and Buddy all make their way towards them. “And then the dogs came to bombard us.”

Exactly! It’s like time doesn’t slow down at all. Hell, I’m sure Lola will seem ten years older just after not filming with her for a few months and she’s like eleven. I’m going to be planning a trip there to see you at least twice, hopefully. Maybe I can even swing opening night for you.

It only slows down when you’re anticipating for something coming up soon like an event or holiday, I remember being away from Chris for a short while and on the day that I got to see him, the time would not go by quick enough until I actually got to be with him. Aww, hopefully she isn’t growing up too quickly! Yessss! That would be amazing!

I think spring is perfect, because then we have some time to be an engaged couple and plan everything since that’s just about a year away. Now we have to decide where to get married. LA is always a good choice since the weather is nice all the time, but if we want to get married somewhere our families are, we’ll have to figure that out too.

I can’t believe that we just agreed on the first thing for our Wedding! A spring wedding it is! LA is a good choice yes, but honestly if we were to choose between which state to choose from where our families are, I’d go with Ohio.

Okay, so hey! We’re getting somewhere then if we both like the idea of a Spring Wedding. That is very true,I mean, we could have our Wedding in LA, Vancouver, Ohio, or even Colorado, there’s a lot of choices and then we’ll have to look into potential venues that should be available around the time that we would be getting married. Overall, if we agree on Spring, then that cuts us down to choosing either March, April, May, or even a bit of June so, we’ll have from about ten months to a little over a year of planning everything.

Yeah, definitely. Haha well…I don’t like to think about the fact that you were married before, but I guess it will help with the planning part of it. Have you thought about the time of year you want to get married? I can’t wait to call you my wife.

Yeah, I’m sorry that I mentioned that, it’s just, at least I do still have an idea about planning, is all. What about during Spring? It’s probably, weather wise, the most nice season out there, although I suppose Fall isn’t so bad either. I already love the sound of it.

I know, I know. Sometimes it’s easier than it seems. We should blame it on our brains for all the stressful thoughts. Mum stress can be handled, though. As I said, it’s mostly in our head in most cases. I bet there are a lot of people helping you out when you feel overwhelmed. Thank you, love! I’ll happily accept the super-mummy title until Kara becomes a mum and claims it back, ha. I cannot even imagine how it must feel. Being on bloody Broadway, goodness! You’re going to do an amazing job, no doubts. I hope your run will be long enough to allow me to see at least one of your performances. I’ve seen Beautiful on the West End and loved every second of it. I’m intrigued by the American production and the fact that you’re going to be in the cast is an ace bonus. I swear I lose the capacity to speak properly when someone mentions Mamma Mia. Don’t know how I’ll do the press tour. It’s… a dream. Like… big fat dream come true. The pressure is immense, though. Taking over from Meryl comes with a significant number of risks. But I’m thrilled, happy and grateful. 

Yes, only sometimes but our minds are..crazy honestly, it can convince you of so many lies and make you feel horrible, mental health is so important to talk about because of how alone we feel when it comes to dealing with Anxiety, or any other issues related to that, or just simple stress from any situation which can lead to some Anxiety. I’m grateful to have the people in my life because yes, they do help out as much as they can! You’re so welcome! Hahaha, oh, right now, I highly doubt that will happen anytime soon, but even if she does, you can rightfully share the title with her. Aww, thank you so much! It’s so amazing, I’m beyond excited and my run will be from June 7th to August 4th so, hopefully you can come! The American cast are so incredibly talented, it’s unbelievable. Oh, I’m sure that you did wonderful for taking over from Meryl! You’re gonna do great with the press tour, I believe in you!
