DISCLAIMER: This isn’t meant to offend anyone by any means. I sincerely apologize if it does. This goes for any content creator, a writer, artist, meme-maker, gif maker, lock-screens maker, all of them. Again, this isn’t to offend anyone in any way, shape, or form, I would never purposely do that.
Unless you are a content creator, I don’t think you will understand how much people’s positive opinions and creative criticism means to us. It gives us so much joy as you couldn’t imagine.
Yes, likes do mean something to us, it tells us you acknowledge you’ve seen what we post, but you can absent-mindedly like something yet never check it. Yes, it does give us some sense of support. To us, they are an acknowledgment, that you like it, that you’ve seen it, but… we don’t know if you enjoyed it. Do you feel me on this?
Comments, ah yes comments. I swear the only time I see comments are when someone posts like a meme or something, I swear, or I am just blind and I should start wearing my glasses more often. Comments are so special!! Like I’m not kidding! They are so encouraging and help with inspiration!! They make us so giddy!! To us, they are fucking gold! They let us know what you think about what we are creating.
Now reblogs, yes my fave. God, they make us feel soooo special - like the specialist, I kid you not. They make us think that what we are doing isn’t nothing, that it means something to someone, that they enjoy what we did so much!! It shows that you think its so good, that you just must share it with others. Not only does it make us feel nice that you are sharing it, but that means more people will see what we’ve posted, to those who could potentially follow us and also look forward to our future posts. No matter how many reblogs there are, we cherish them so much and look at every. single. one. Don’t get me started if the person puts something in the tags. WE FREAK! like you put in them that you are crying over the fluff/angst?? WE ARE CRYING OVER THAT YOU PUT THAT IN THE TAGS!! Because why?? It’s so supportive and it gives us so much joy that you loved it so much that you put that it the tags! It gives us so much inspiration. It makes us so hyped for our next work that comes out. I can’t tell you how much reblogs with tags mean to us, not even in this long ass paragraph.
And lastly, asks. No matter if it is an ask game/meme game, asks abt our work, requests, or even just simple “hello!”s, they mean the fucking world to us. I can’t describe how much absolute pure joy we get when we see those cute asks in our inbox. It helps to let us know that you aren’t just liking our things, but you want to interact with us, that you want to get to know us, that we just aren’t a page for someone to mindlessly follow. Too us, it is more personal. You want to get to know us, and that makes us feel so happy. It tells us that we aren’t just here to just be here, that this blog and our creations mean something to someone, and that is like the best feeling in the world.
