Was thinking about Phantom of the Opera which lead to me recalling Scratch wearing the half mask as an amusing reference/joke in the talent show episode…. Which lead to this thought-

‘The Phantom is someone everyone thinks is a ghost but is in fact a living person and is therefore not an actual ghost. He also happens to be very theatrical and likes to sing. He has a tragic past and he lashes out at people, enjoys scaring others, and isn’t above causing pranks or getting involved with money schemes. He also tries to sabotage the romance between a girl and her crush, and sometimes resorts to dirty tactics to help get her ahead in life whether she wants it or not. His bittersweet ending involves having to give up said girl.’

… Which almost describes Scratch.

I was not expecting that reference to be an unintentional parallel/foreshadowing. Except of course Scratch is the better of the two characters for so many reasons.

I went to see Phantom on Broadway last year a little before it closed and I realized this sometime before going and had a good laugh about it while seeing it. Even funnier that it became even more relevant once season 2 came along. They knew what they were doing.

Sweeny Todd is one of my fav musicals out there. It's about time I made fanart of the man 😭😭😭 Anyways, my favourite songs are "Pretty Women", "Johanna Reprise", and "Have a Little Priest". What about you guys? If you've seen it that is.

Beetlejuice 1989 (the cartoon) is returning to U.S. Television!

Announced today was a new network spinoff of MeTV called MeTV Toons that will premiere on American cable stations on June 25th. There's a lot of classic cartoons that will be shown on the network but if you check out the website, a silhouette of Toonjuice shows up, which indicates that at some point, the channel will be adding the show to its lineup! It'll be the first time in over 20 years that the show has last been seen on American television, so this is big news (as well as being a clear lead up to the sequel later this year)! There's no news on when it'll be added but surely it'll be soon. In the meantime, the show is streaming on Amazon FreeVee (United States only!).

You can check out the website below!:

Also proof of the show coming (there he is on the top left of the bottom column!)
