“ Ah, both actually.” * The woman replied honestly, but as politely as possible, touching her hand to her own cheek.*
“ –Sorry, It’s just quiet in here , and you’re very…energetic. I wasn’t expecting so many questions at once. I wasn’t sure you were serious at first.”
“…As for the others though:” * She then pushed herself off of the counter, and began counting on her fingers, not wanting to ignore his other inquiries.*
“– I have always been human, because both of my parents were…‘Thank you for the compliment…The tea, coffees, milk and most of the liquor also doesn’t have sugar in it– unless you mix it, with something …”
“ …And I don’t have much choice in the matter, of course, on that last one.” * She summarized. * “ –I am told there is a way out of the kingdom, in the north somewhere, but it’s enchanted–so everyone‘s kind of stuck… So, I just figured I’d make the best of my situation… Mr. G gave me a job, when I decided not to risk it, because I’d worked in a lot of other restaurants.”
“ –To be perfectly honest, though.“ * The woman shrugged, from there.* “–I’m better off in a lot of ways, down here…I get free medical treatment, I don’t have to pay for rent or water usage, and there’s a lot less pollution –since they’re aren’t any mechanized vehicles…That’s a lot easier on my condition.”
* Her mouth briefly wrinkled in a so-so gesture, though, just the same. * “…I only wish I would wield magic, myself…There’s no electricity or plumbing in my shack, so I have to do everything by hand, like an 18th century farmer. It’s awfully hard.”
