So I have a ton of projects and am terrible at promoting myself. But I am trying to change that! So hi! I am Adalisa Zarate, also known as Luxshine (or Lux, is ok) and I am a comic book artist, author, illustrator, panel organizer, reviewer and all around jane of all trades!
No matter how high is the obstacle, with tenacity and effort you can always fly higher than it. Today's Mermay, wings, is inspired by the amazing climb sequence in Bahubaali, as Shiva looks for his destiny. This Shiva had it a bit easier, as he is part salmon on his dad's side, and flying fish on his mom's!

A retelling of The Ugly Duckling, where instead of a swan raised by ducks, it's a peacock egg that ended up being hatched by a chicken, called The Most Annoying Rooster, where instead of being sad about being an ugly outcast, the little peacock goes around like Excuse Me Are You Not Aware Of How Fucking Fabulous I am? And everyone except his mom finds him supremely annoying. The hen who hatched him is just like "no fuck you, my huge fabulous son can beat the shit out of all of your sons, you're just jealous."
Then the farmer whose chickens those are notices that wait shit that Fancy Chicken is in the wrong place, and as he tries to remove the peacock from the chicken coop, he refuses to leave without the hen who hatched him. So being moved to a more appropriate place for a peacock, the hen comes with him. And for the rest of his life The Most Annoying Rooster lives happily ever after as an Only Moderately Annoying Peacock, and if any bigger bird tries to do anything to the little hen, he will peck its fucking eyes out, because that's his momma who was always there for him, so he's always there for her.
When a merman and his trusty tuna are angry, everything can be a weapon. Especially if you insult their family's name! This Mermay 2024 piece, Fury, is inspired by Rangasthalam, where Chitti Babu will not let anyone insult his family. And because a merman can't have a Chicken for a pet, well, then here he is Tuna! Still every bit as cute!
If you haven't watched Rangasthalam? You're in for a treat. I think honestly is the best of Charan's movies, maaaybe second to RRR (Maybe. Or maybe they both are in the first place), because Chitti is... Chitti. A force to be reckoned with, a character you will love immediately.

And the sweet perfect mother of the story comes to the riverbank, sees that all her children drowned, and starts crying so bitterly that angels overhear her, and the angels say to each other, "she does not deserve this, this woman has never done anything wrong in her life, this should not have happened to her", and feeling great pity for her, bring her children back to life, and after that they always listened to their mother and lived happily ever after.
And the storyteller's children, who at this point are familiar with the concept that these stories are supposed to have some sort of a moral or lesson in them, interject to point out that their mother hasn't always done everything perfectly, she isn't always sweet, curses a lot, and as a matter of fact loses her shit at her kids all the time. She isn't like the mother of the story at all.
And their mother agrees: Her children are correct. She is not a perfect mother who has never done anything wrong. Angels will not have pity on her, and they will not bring her little shits back to life if they go to the river and die. So they better fucking not go get themselves killed in the first place.

i fee like this is ignoring a ton of the context surrounding this entire thing: the reason the account was spread was because he faked his suicide and people were being harassed over it, it was shared to combat that.
the reason people were looking is because no one knew what exactly had happened and people who knew him were legitimately worried about him being dead and trying to find out if he was and if so how to support those affected
the nudes, disney posting, and other alts came up because 1. he was doing this while his friends were concerned for his life and trying to contact him 2. because the fucker stole nudes which is illegal and a horrendous violation of others consent and 3. because he was using alts to sockpuppet and harass others and those its happening to might want to know so they can block him
like i think there are definitely posts that treat it like a funny meme but truth is somerton has done massive damage to the queer community, continues to harass and hurt others, and has shown time and time again he will continue the same behavior whenever he thinks he can get away with it.
people being aware of who he is and what he has done so they can avoid him is frankly the only way to deal with his shit. he tried to make an apology (without actually admitting to anything) and restart his patreon and youtube twice before faking suicide. if he thought he could start up again on accounts where no one knew it was him i'm damn sure he would because of everything he's done up to this point.
