WIP Whenever

Tagged by the lovely @nonsequitur22 to share some of my WIP. I am so happy to report that I have been good this year and have been working diligently to whip my novel into shape, and I'd like to say that's all I've been up to, but literally yesterday, Tombstone popped into my head with a steel chair and I now have almost 2k words of fic for a 31 year old piece of media that, let's be honest, isn't very good. Woo!

I have only the barest familiarity with Tombstone, but the *voice* on this is so strong and good it makes me want to read the whole thing. And I loooooove the play on 'consumption', reframing the word as an action and how appalling it is to consider being *consumed*. Fuckin yummy, Io

Counting all media, and you may take as generous a definition of companion as you like. To specify what 'number of characters' means in this context, if one character has multiple names, (fr'instance Bruce Wayne/Batman) that character only counts once. Otoh, multiple different characters with the same title, (ex. Dick Grayson, Jason Todd, et. al.) might all be Robin, but they each count as separate characters.

SPEAKING OF MASTER/LUCY. Because look, sometimes you come back to an old fandom and get swept up in all the old shit you used to love. And sometimes you look at some of the old stuff you wrote and go, damn, that's still pretty good, huh?

So here is, somewhat astonishingly, the first fic I ever wrote in Who fandom-- tells you something about my tastes, I suppose-- back in 2008. I genuinely still think it hits. And while I know Master/Lucy is not as popular a ship now as it was in 2008, maybe there are a couple folks out there who'd be interested.

Insane about the master having a wedding again. Do we think harold saxon was a bridezilla.
