home has many definitions ;; sometimes it´s a place where you can always retreat to, where you can rest up and where you feel safe. sometimes the place always changes, but the people you´re with make it home anyways ;; friends, family - some say home is where your feet might leave but never your heart.

   mukuro hasn´t considered anything his home for a long time now ;; home has lost it´s definition to him the moment when it started to turn on him and betray him. it´s but an empty word with no meaning and that was more than okay to him ;; he´s not the sentimental type anyway - he doesn´t need a home when his goal is to break this rotten corpse of the world anyway. at least that´s what he thought.

   rokudo mukuro considers himself a man without a home, but the windows in the broken ruins of kokuyo land get crudely fixed one by one to stop the cold from seeping through ;; blankets are piling up all over the place and the couch isnt the only thing to sleep on anymore ;; ken has his huge stack of bubble gum in the emergency bunker and chikusa has his collection of crime novels stacked right next to mukuros poetry and music ;; m.m has her corner stacked up with mirror shards ;; fran has his collection of ridiculous hats and chrome´s smile always gets a bit brighter whenever she comes by ;; 

  let´s just say that when mukuro left in order to get fran from france ;; he came back.

                ❛  why, when you have your own ?  ❜

         in contrary to most, probably ;; mukuro isn´t as bothered with the imprisonment as he should have been. yes, he remembers his bones aching as the cold seeps through his veins,;; remembers the hopelessness in the eyes of the other prisoners as they passed their cells ;; remembers his heart seizing up for a foolish moment of fear as he was submerged in water ;; remembers their hollow voices and can´t deny how sometimes they seem to follow him no matter how far he goes ;; but that´s all they are - just more memories of the darkness that surrounds his past & life. 

   being imprisoned is nothing like finding yourself strapped down on a metal table with fear and desperation clawing at your very being as you keep losing your grip on reality, seeing hell over and over again unable to let go, unable to forget that this was supposed to be your family and not your torturers. 

   in the end, yes the vindice might be scary, powerful and entirely capable of taking him down, stripping him of everything and lock him away in eternal darkness but mukuro refuses to be intimidated by them ; or to cower in front of them. they represent law & order in the underworld, a world mukuro is set out to crush under the heel of his boot. for him, the vindice are stepping stones h can´t afford to let stop him.
