Kili found himself staring at the lip that Elladan kept nibbling on, feeling the overwhelming urge to reach over and gently free the lip with his thumb. That would most certainly send the man running out the door, never to return.
His gaze snapped back up to meet Elladan’s eyes and he smiled brightly. “Well Ell, it’s a pleasure to meet you,” he replied chuckling, tapping at the small tag attached to the front of his shirt. “My name’s Killian, but people call me Kili and I’m at your service tonight,” he said adding a small bow to the whole introduction, dark eyes sparkling with mischievousness as he straightened up again and begun to arrange the glasses into their right places.
 Despite not having known Elladan for more than maybe ten minutes, he could already tell he liked this man. Working in a bar had its advantages; he could read people easier than before. He knew who was the type of people to steer clear from, he knew who wanted to talk and he knew those who were there to pick someone up. It was all clear in their body language. And with Elladan, he could already tell that the man was kind, would most likely not cause trouble and well, he enjoyed talking with the taller man.
“Haven’t seen you here before,” Kili commented, dragging a clean rag down the side of his neck to clean the sweat from his skin. “New to the city or just haven’t stopped by here before?”

A CLOCK; that is what Kili reminded Elladan of --each movement, each action calculated, mastered; a FLAWLESS routine worthy of only the most well-oiled gears. Every part of him seemed so INEXPLICABLY full of suave and charm, down to the cheerful upcurve of his lips. Even his name rang with utter charisma. Killian; the name of a pirate, or a gentleman. Or BOTH.

Elladan hadn’t realised that while his thoughts had been running away with him, he’d been looking at Kili in a sort of wistful way. It took him a few seconds to REGISTER what he was doing, but the moment he did, his face flushed to a light rosy hue. Embarrassed, he glanced down at his hand on the bar, though his eyes moved away from the soft sleeve of his sweater after only a moment, flicking back up to smile at Kili SHYLY.

Goodness, no,❞ he replied with a slight laugh when he remembered that Kili was still awaiting an answer. ❝I’ve lived here for as long as I can remember; mostly because I can’t really remember living in Britain.❞ He smiled at Kili again, inwardly CURSING himself for talking too much; hoping that he wasn’t giving away too much too soon. Though such worries did nothing to stop him from continuing, as if the LOGICAL side of his brain had no connection to his mouth whatsoever.

❝I don’t often go to bars; this is only the third I’ve ever been to since I was able to drink.❞

"Are you sure you're okay?" ( @ Thranduil)

{RP Starters: Concer@calenefite hello :) }

Thranduil hadn’t visited Imladris in forever. Due to personal reasons, he avoided it, but mostly because he was busy. Or was that the official excuse? He couldn’t tell anymore.

He had to sit on a marble bench, as he was walking in the gardens, feeling dizzy for a moment. By luck, one of Elrond’s sons happened to pass by. “I’m well, my friend. Just felt a soft dizziness” he offered a soft smile. “You are Elrond’s eldest, hm?”

RARE HAD been the times when Elladan had ever had the chance to be in the presence of the Elvenking; save for the times when he would ride to the Greenwood to visit Legolas. It had always been a THRILL to have Thranduil as guest in his father’s halls, and even more so now that Elladan was older, and was often included in the discussions Elrond held with people as important as Thranduil.
He had been anticipating perhaps a run-in with the King during the day, perhaps in the corridor or passing in the gardens; but he had certainly NOT expected to see the regal figure sway in a strange way to sit down.
Even from afar, where he stood, he could tell that something was wrong, and he wasted no time in appearing at Thranduil’s side, bending down slightly and eyeing him with great CONCERN.

❝ I am he, ❞ Elladan said in response to Thranduil’s question, but the question of the King’s well being seemed FAR more pressing to him than formalities. ❝ Forgive me, my Lord, ❞ he pressed, ❝ May I ask as to WHY you may be feeling dizzy? There are a great number of healers here who could see to you. ❞
