"Hm. You’d think after a few synthetic parts are installed, that sort of thing would stop."
❝Do you want to talk about it?❞

"Hm. You’d think after a few synthetic parts are installed, that sort of thing would stop."
❝Do you want to talk about it?❞
❝You were talking in your sleep again.❞
missvasnormxndy started following you
“I admit I’ve seen some unusual sights before…” there is pause in his actions. A hesitation clinging to him thickly. Sharp yellow eyes remained fixed on the helmet of what he could only guess was female. A frown curls at his features, the uncertainty leveling even higher. “But I’ve never seen any armor like that before.”
❝It's not really armour. It's my enviro-suit.❞ She glances down at herself, refusing to feel self-conscious when the human is staring so blatantly. But she's used to being under such scrutiny. Compared to the hostility she's faced before, his curiosity isn't so bad. ❝I'm not really surprised if you've never seen a quarian before. Not many of us will venture from the Flotilla unless we're on pilgrimage.❞
missvasnormxndy has approached you
“Admiral," Garrus said with a polite nod as the quarian grew closer. "You’d probably prefer just plain ‘Tali,’ right? I don’t know about you, but I’d rather be known by my name than my title." Garrus had been called several things: brother, son, friend, enemy, C-Sec officer, vigilante, Archangel, and now Expert Reaper Adviser. Every time someone called him anything but his first or last name, he’d politely tell them that he preferred to be addressed as his given name, titles not required.
“You doing alright? We haven’t really talked much recently.”
❝I don't think I'll ever get used to having people address me as admiral. Especially not from you, Garrus.❞ She pulls a face at being addressed so formally. It's another unwanted reminder she's been trying to avoid. She's an admiral far from her fleet, even if what she's doing here with Shepard is for her people, for the entire galaxy.
❝I'm trying not to think about... well, everything. Usually work helps to keep my mind off things, but Adams has kicked me out of engineering again.❞
He just turned towards the quarian with his brow quirked, awaiting for whatever she had in store for him.
❝Not even a hello? What's put you in such a grumpy mood?❞
No, come back another time. I’m a little busy.
[ well that came out a bit snappy. ]
❝Ahem. This will only take a minute.❞
ooc
I'll be over on Joel for most of the day.
But I shall likely return to destroy Ty's feelings later on.
”.. I don’t think it’s gonna work—-
why’re y’so persistant with this?”
❝Because it should work. I've already wasted too many hours on this damn thing to give up now. You look at this and tell me what's wrong.❞
"Dontcha think your jumpin’ the gun, here? If he’s a soldier, he’s probably tough enough to go handlin’ things without much more than a scratch. You always this worried with things?"
❝I used to think that too, but it'd always felt like... We were living on borrowed time. I was there at his first funeral. There wasn't even a body. And it'll be the same thing again.❞
❝Spaceship? As in— traveling in the Solar System?
That— can’t be feasible, could it? Space is bereft of essential oxygen sources, as well as a consistent gravitational pull. I’ve always read that it was an unsuitable vector for human life.❞
❝Oh—! I— ah— yes! But just one more question, Tali! What exactly is a— uh— an omnitool?❞
❝You've... never been on a spaceship? That's so strange. I've lived my entire life aboard one up until recently. Maybe if I ask Shepard, he might be nice enough to let up aboard the Normandy.
But, oh, yes! An omni-tool, it's this thing right here. I use mine mostly for running diagnostics, decryption... and some personal things. Oh, so that's a zeppelin. Hmmm... it doesn't look very safe.❞
❝...He's really gone.❞
”What’s so difficult t’understand ‘bout that.. ?”
❝I've told you already, none of it makes sense. I've gone over the schematics five times already, but the stupid machine still won't work. I'm trying my best here.❞
’ more like he was too busy building his own utopian world & forgot that i was his son. he treated me more like a stranger than his own seed. but then calls me his greatest work. ‘
❝Someone important to me once told me that the best way to deal with personal issues like this is with copious amounts of liquor. ------Up for a little drink?❞
❝It's a simple extranet search if you're so interested in seeing a krogan. Actually, I think I still have a few images of an old friend of mine on my omnitool... Here, see? No tight leather since he's not an assassin, but I think we should be glad for that.❞
’ the seemingly neglectful ones, yeah. ‘
❝Let me guess... he was too busy trying to build you a better future and forgot to be there when you needed him the most in the process.❞
"Giant…lizards. So dinosaurs? Yeah I guess I do look like I got ran over by a dinosaur. A new age assassin. You know—hood thing.”
❝If you're referring to what I think you are, then no. Not quite like dinosaurs. And... I know a few assassins actually. They seem to prefer tight leather.❞
’ ….. dead for years and the old man is still taking me to school. ‘
❝Isn't that how it always is with fathers?❞
