When you first met Kuroo Tetsurou, you found him mysterious. An enigma, really.

You shared a science class with him, a subject he was both good at and fond of. You had gotten partnered up with him one semester for a big research project, which meant you ended up spending a lot of time together.

As a result, you got to know him pretty well.

In class, he was a cute nerd who wore hoodies and thick rimmed glasses. He cracked jokes and had a lot of friends, he made companions quite easily due to his easygoing, charismatic nature. Even the professors loved him, he was almost a teacher’s pet. He made good grades and his work was always at the top of the class.

Behind closed doors, however, you got to see a new Kuroo. His roommate was out most of the time, spending the majority of his time with his girlfriend. Left to his own devices, he invited you over to his dorm for the project.

That was how you got to know the real Kuroo. The one with arms and chest adorned with tattoos and a face with piercings. You had them memorized by now; spider bites on the left side of his lip, a nose ring on the right side and an eyebrow piercing on his right side. His ears were pierced and he wore rings and bracelets even when he was just chilling around his dorm room.

This Kuroo was dark with a foul mouth and sharp tongue. He wore a cocky smirk that had shivers of excitement going down your spine. His eyes were dark, cunning and you could never figure out what he was thinking.

He smoked cigarettes and pot but somehow the smell never clung to him. He always smelled like fresh, clean soap and a hint of aftershave and cologne. It was intoxicating and you could remember how much you had craved being in his arms when you were getting to know him.

The audience portion of the room sits rows and rows of impatient onlookers, waiting. Alisa is propped on a box crate. “Charity!” she muses, “Think of the beluga whales, YN.”
