“Well, Cody, Master Yoda has finally assigned me a new padawan. I almost thought he’d forgotten.” Obi-Wan joked as you stood beside him with a kind smile. “And he did not disappoint.”

“Sure didn’t, General.” Cody replied, removing his helmet. “I’m Commander Cody, good meeting you.”

“Y/N L/N.” You introduced yourself. “I look forward to working with you.”

“You gonna have my back out there, kid?” Cody tilted his head up slightly and smirked.

“You know it.” You looked up at him and smiled, noticing his fist reaching out. You put your own out and bumped over and under, then looked over to your new master.

“I think you’ll be a great addition to our battalion. That is—if you can follow orders. My last padawan was not much of a listener.” Obi-Wan told the two of you, who both laughed.

“So I’ve heard.”

“Ah, ah, ah!” Loki stopped you in your tracks as you were meaning to walk on by. “You’re—you can’t be, can you?” He tripped on his sentences and you stared at him with a puzzled expression.

“I’m…what?” You replied quietly with a handful of people staring at you. “An Avenger?” You then whispered.

“You know?” His eyes widened and you chuckled, walking by him and waiting for him to catch up. “Wait, y/n! How? How is this possible?”

“Because I was in the same boat as you once, Loki.” You explained as you strutted through the busy halls of the TVA, busier than usual since the Timekeeper fiasco. “I know all about my life, my powers, you, and whatever else you’re thinking.”

“Where were you pulled from exactly? What’s your nexus event?” Loki further questioned, desperate for answers and a companion of shared experience.

“It was after you died. About five years after. The Thanos thing, the Infinity Stones. Apparently I was supposed to die and I didn’t so now I get to survive here. Still…saving people, I guess.” You winced at the thought and shook it off. “But you’re still alive now, too, so lucky us.”
