Day 25- Christmas/ Holidays
Natasha watches with sleepy eyes as the snowflakes drift to ground. Clint tightens his arm around her waist.
“I don’t wanna get up yet,” he mumbles against her hair. She sighs.
“Me neither. It’s so pretty.”
“Mhm.” He nuzzles in closer and she feels her eyes start to close.
“Go tell them.” Yelena creaks open their door, and feet patter quickly across the hardwood. Natasha can feel someone watching her. She looks up to find big blue eyes, wide with wonder.
“Mommy, Daddy, wake up! Santa came!”
“Did he? What did he bring?”
“Presents!” she whispers excitedly. “Lots of presents!”
“Well I guess we should go see what they are, huh?” Clint smiles as he sits up, stretching. Katie scrambles into bed, tugging at Natasha’s arm. Yelena snorts out a laugh from the doorway.
“I’ll be right there, baby girl.”
“Katie, let’s go wait for them in the living room.”
Obligingly, she follows her Auntie back downstairs. Natasha pulls a sweatshirt over her head. Clint stops her just before she gets to their doorway. She looks at him quizzically, and he points to the small bundle of leaves hanging above them.
“Mistletoe,” she murmurs, leaning up for a kiss. He holds her just a bit longer than usual, savoring the soft moment. “Merry Christmas, Clint.”
“Merry Christmas, Natasha.”
