For anyone asking is this cute, I’m going to say yes.
1. That is a very strong animal. If it wanted her to put it down, there is no way she would be holding it.
2. The position of the ears shows relaxation.
3. Nibbling at hair is how horses show affection. In a herd, they nibble at the base of each other’s manes (the very best way to pet a horse is to scratch the base of the mane about halfway down the neck). With a human they like they go for the hair as the closest equivalent.
So, yes, horse is enjoying cuddles.
Human is also very strong!

Okay legally I have to try this rainbow goo, right?
It seems to be trying to fill a similar ecological niche to jelly so I got waffles to eat it on
I swear to fuck, y'all, this stuff smells like children's shampoo
Well okay let's do this
The flavor is indescribable. It's like if you wanted to make lemon preserves but your only knowledge of lemons came from Saturday morning cartoon advertising. This is lemon as seen through the lens of Dr. Wondertainment of SCP fame and I'm pretty sure it fell through a rip in spacetime from their employee cafeteria. It's !!LEMON!! (with a strong aftertaste of artificial coloring and plastic from the edible glitter bits)
The texture is exactly how I always imagined it would be to eat aloe vera gel out of the brightly-colored bottle in my mom's bathroom
Overall 6/10, I'm gonna finish the waffle but fuck knows what I'm gonna do with the rest of the bottle
Update my tummy hurts
I assure you these plastics were very macro
Great news! This is how the yellow glitter junk has ended up
I threw it together with some white wine yeast and water and fermented it into...this! It is violently neon yellow and has some disconcerting hydrophobic globules suspended in it, presumably from some oil that was in the goo. It made the siphon weirdly greasy as I was bottling it, which was unnerving!
As for the taste, it's...honestly not as bad as expected? It tastes like white wine but lip-puckeringly sour and dry. If I'd backsweetened it after fermentation it might almost have been palatable. When I tasted it at racking it tasted like battery acid so this is a welcome surprise! Yeast truly are the redeemers of all culinary sin
Mostly "hm. This sucks. I wonder if it would suck less if I made it into alcohol"
20 years ago today premiered in Austria the first and only production of Goncharov das Musical, with music by Frank Wildhorn and lyrics by Michael Kunze. Billed as a cross between Chess and Passion, the show was largely panned by critics, who called it overly sentimental, packed with dull ballads, and missing the satire of the film. Yet the musical gained a cult following for its homoerotic undertones, particularly in the duet “Irgendwo sind Schatten”, first sung in Act 1 by Katya and Sofia, then reprised in Act 2 by Goncharov and Andrey. Whilst the musical only ran for a few weeks and had no further productions, rumours have been circulating of a potential English translation and West End workshop.
Cast:
Jan Ammann — Goncharov
Pia Douwes — Katya
Drew Sarich — Andrey
Máté Kamarás — Mario
Uwe Kröger — “Ice Pick” Joe
Maya Hakvoort — Sofia
How could you make a post about Goncharov das Musical (GdM) and not mention the 2011 Kyoto concert?! I do understand why the fandom prefers to sweep it under the rug (the way they had Máté, who was originally u/s Goncharov, reprise his role as Mario while Mark Seibert took over as Goncharov was so unfair, not to mention the fact that they staged act 2 Schatten with Goncharov and Lukas Perman’s Andrey standing on opposite sides of a brick wall), but come on - the costumes looked great, and Roberta Valentini’s Sofia is so sweet!! It’s such a guilty pleasure of mine, it’s a shame there’s no video footage of it.
I know it’s been over 10 years since the concert, but I still think the show could (in the distant future) work as a Takarazuka production. Maybe if they altered the plot a bit and removed the cement shoes ensemble number? It’s not in the original film anyway…
i don’t understand why everyone is sleeping on the hungarian production when it has literally the best sets and beautiful translations???
I’m still bitter that we know Maya went on for two shows as Katya and there is no evidence! None! not even a photo of her in the costume, which is a tragedy when the tiny details in the costume could allow for some really cool variations. and Pia’s Katya is phenomenal, as Pia always is, but we all know damn well that Maya’s Katya would be phenomenal too.
also I do hate that they downplay Sofia’s role so much that they pretty much always have the lead Sofia as the first cover for Katya (if it’s a long enough production for covers, rip to my Roberta-as-Katya dreams) but it means that they always have utterly phenomenal actresses as Sofia, even if we never seem to then get recordings.
A dream.

it's not that I need a quiet day or a day off exactly; it's that I need a pocket of time that exists entirely outside of linear time as we know it that would allow me to get things done without time passing in the real world, and frankly, I don't think that's too much to ask.
Just remember, you can do anything you set your mind to, but it takes action, perseverance, and facing your fears.
