Update regarding charr comics

Many of you have already seen this on Twitter or shared through various private discords, but since it is sadly still in full effect, it would be fair to update you here as well:

This also means that I will not be posting to this tumblr that much, since all I am creating now are doodles and not full illustrations or stories, or I am simply fulfilling my partner obligations with a single monthly stream. I may put up a compilation every few months, but it's not gonna be worth much.

However, I would also like to add that I promised both you and myself I would see the Blade warband through. I will finish Frostbound on some terms and someday. But I do hate that it has to be in spite of the powers that be instead of working to our mutual benefit.

Unfortunately, unless the rules change, the assorted charr comics are very likely gone for good and Frostbound will be the last of its kind for me. As much as I love Tyria and its characters, my limited time on this green earth is better spent with things that do not result in me being screwed over.

Our Kickstarter is almost at its conclusion and we raised more than enough funds to expand the game and fulfill our vision, and we are so grateful to everyone who supported us.

There is still a few days to make your own pledge, be it for the game itself if you haven’t had the chance to immerse yourself in the waters of Tal’Dun yet, or for some lovely art to remind you of the bittersweet moments you spent with our magi, Ilar and Vyn.

Play our demo: Itchio | Steam

Help us make our story even better than it is now and get art prints, handwritten letters, exclusive lino cut prints or original ink drawings from the game (and much more) in return.

This is a story of two magi, Vyn and Ilar, who find themselves trapped in a collapsing tower with their only hope for salvation being a difficult ritual. Or at least that is what Ilar tells you. The thing is - you don’t remember anything, and Ilar’s story makes less and less sense the closer you are to the ritual. Are they hiding things to protect you from the bitter truth, or are they deceiving you for some more nefarious reason?

Guide Vyn’s actions to death and beyond and uncover Ilar’s truth. Are they your colleague, lover or something completely different? Read between the lines of what they are telling you, explore your surroundings for clues and use hands-on deduction to break the vicious circle and set them free.

  • around 50 false endings
  • 2 true endings
  • over 200 choices
  • unique traditional ink drawings
  • animated backgrounds
  • immersive soundrack

The Remainder is one of the best, most perfect games I've ever played. And now it can get even better. Intricate story, complex characters, mystery that you peel layer by layer... and so much tears. I enjoyed every second of it, returned to the world so many times... and I can't wait to start another journey \o/

Our Kickstarter is FUNDED!

Ze and I are blown away with everyone’s support, and so, so grateful.

Together with the stretch goals we will be able to add new dialogues, new endings, add the immersive ambient sounds, fix some arworks and even add some new ones.

The next goal we want to reach is a side story we have in our heads for a really long time, something lighthearted and unexpected. A party of heros will enter the scene, looking to bring evil magi to justice, and Vyn and Ilar will have to drop what they are doing and try to convince them that everything was completely fine and not at all suspicious.

I already sketched out the sprites for these characters - adapted them from Our Winding Road - our amare jam entry from a few months ago.

Added another character to the lineup of sprites for our next game CoT: The Hunger!

If you enjoy my art, make sure to keep an eye on the Kickstarter which is starting on August 1st, where among other things you will be able to get art prints and even original ink drawings.

We are raising funds for the making of the expanded version of our first game Chronicles of Tal’Dun: The Remainder. So naturally, you could get the game itself at the KS if our demo sparks your fancy - try it here, or if you just want pretty art on your wall, that’s fine too. ^^

Even if crowdfunding or physical goodies are not your thing, you can help us out put by sharing this post so more people who might like the things we do.

In case you would like to know more about our goals and rewards, you can check out this post here.

I can't imagine Chronicles of Tal'Dun:The Remainder getting any better. But the game and the creators manage to always surprise me <3
