Auror AU
Harry is an auror training officer in the Ministry of Magic after surviving the second war and defeating Voldemort. While, Hermione was in a different house (Ravenclaw) than Harry and decided to pursue education after she completed Hogwarts, but decided to chance course after finishing her graduate degree. Hermione wanted make a different and become an Auror.
Jaded after the war, many of the rookies that Harry trained ended up dropping out. His former partner Ginny got mixed up in trouble that she left them in the middle of the night 1-2 years ago and he or her family had not seen her sense. Which caused his best friend Ron to quit being an Auror. Harry has cut off emotions when it comes to life, and his job and it has left him feeling empty.
While, Hermione is trying to go against what her parents want. Which is to get a doctorate, so they don’t support her new career choice. Luckily for her, the other rookies she is joining with are a source of support (characters of your choice) and friendship.
With Hermione as his rookie, can Harry finally open up and find peace, possibly love?

Extra Prompt: Harry and Hermione meet a voodoo witch from the Caribbean. Concerningly the witch’s hut has one wall marked as ‘the wall of shame’ where a number of voodoo dolls are perched. Some have a pin in their knees, or eyes. A couple have clearly been lit on fire briefly. And one has what might be a voodoo doll of an insect pinned to its crotch. The ones with the eye and knee pins, the witch explains, refused to pay her for services rendered. The burnt ones tried to kill her. But the last one, afflicted with 'crotch mites’ was her ex-boyfriend who cheated on her. Harry is worried by the manic glint Hermione gets in her eyes upon learning that voodoo dolls really work. And resolves to never forget their anniversary.
PROMPT: I have this notion of Harry chasing after Hermione when Ron (or someone else) upset her and following her up into the girls dorms. Something he should NOT be able to do. It turns out that no student of the opposite gender should be able to get into one of the gender designated dorms. It turns out upon investigation, that Harry and Hermione have been using accidental magic to visit each other’s dorms. And because the castle A) ships them super hard and B) recognizes they currently have no intention to do anything inappropriate it allows it. ALT Approach: It’s the accidental magic of their burgeoning soul bond?

Okay here's a happier prompt to make up for the last one!
Hermione and Harry bump into each other one day and are instantly smitten. They forget to get the other person's name and number sadly.
One day Hermione's dad tells her to move out (maybe he is overbearing and she gets tired of it) and she ends up moving next door to Harry's flat.
They don't realize it until they see each other in the mailroom/another accidental meeting.
Unfortunately Harry realizes he can't date Hermione since she lied to Ron about her identity (she wasn't interested in him etc). Hermione gets annoyed/horny by him until finally they both give in.

Warning for major angst
Harry's a single dad raising his six year old daughter who has cystic fibrosis (or a life threatening disease). His daughter, Rose, is on a strict diet/schedule as a result but they're very close. She keeps asking who/where her mum is, and Harry keeps putting it off to tell her.
One day Rose goes off to look for her mum and is nearly run over by a truck. A 'stranger' saves her - who turns out to be Hermione.
Hermione has lost her memory (from an accident) and is actually Harry's ex-wife and Rose's mum. Hermione's parents weren't fans of her relationship with Harry (insert reason here - AU he was from a poor family so they thought he was a gold digger, or they blame him for Hermione being harmed during the war in canon) and told Harry to lose contact with Hermione after the accident. They also lie and say that Hermione wanted a divorce.
Anyway Rose convinces Harry to tell her and Hermione about her mother; Harry narrates the story of how they met and eventually fell for each other. He doesn't reveal that Hermione is the mum.
Cue series of events or coincidences where Harry and Hermione meet again and again and Hermione falls for Harry once more. Her memory coming back would be great, but it's not a crucial detail.
