Fanfic Play-By-Play Challenge
Do you like fanfic? Do you want to encourage authors to write more? Does it seem unfair you can only leave ONE kudo?
Then I challenge you, readers of the Tumblosphere and beyond! To do the following:
- Get the Floaty Review Box add-on for Chrome (or similar)
- Open the comment box before you even start reading.
- Did the title make you laugh? Do you have horribly off-the-wall theories on how this will go? Write it down in your comment box.
- Did a single sentence throw you for a loop? Make you tear up? Make you laugh in public? Quote it and say your reaction!
- (If it made you angry enough to quit the fic, guess what! You can throw your comments away out of spite! Don't leave nasty reviews, just move on to a new fic and give them your encouragement)
- Was that pun something that will stick with you forever? Quote it and say it's your favorite line. You can have multiple favorite lines.
- Did the fic keep you up late? Does that Next Button seem like the best and worst idea simultaneously? Say that too!
- Do you have theories on how this will go? Who cares if the next chapter proves you wrong, say it! Then laugh about how wrong you were in your next comment!
- Did you get swept up in the action or romance or plot or descriptions and forget to write anything? That's ok too, write that you were enthralled by their writing!
- Do you feel anxious about pressing that comment button now that it's all written? Blame me. Seriously, vow to yell at me in my ask box if this author takes offense at your comment for being too long. I've yet to ever encounter an author who hated my play-by-plays
