homecoming

Here’s my full piece for the @makoharu-zine! It was such an amazing experience & I’m honored to have my work showcased alongside so many other incredible people! Be sure to check out @knoc0ut to see their amazing art as well, as Koko was kind enough to collaborate with me during this project! I’m still in awe of their pieces aslfkdjf ❤️

Fandom: Free! Rating: G Words: 1,382 Pairing: MakoHaru Inspiration: dancing in the rain

There are moments in which Haru knows with crystal clarity that he made the best decision in choosing Tokyo—in choosing Makoto. It’s not that he ever doubted his choice once making it, because choosing Makoto has never once lead to a mistake, but there have still been a number of instances that made him appreciate the path he decided to take just that much more.

This time it’s late when they finally manage to break away from Haru’s team, leaving them to continue celebrating their earlier victory by singing peppy pop songs as cheap beer flows through their systems. Waving good-bye to their pleading calls to stay, Haru leads Makoto away by the wrist, tugging him out into the night with full intent on ‘accidentally’ missing Makoto’s stop so he can stay over (preferably for the entire weekend). He draws to an abrupt stop as as soon as they step outside of the club, however, thanks to the torrents of rain dousing the city—and, consequently, the both of them.

Surprised, but hardly upset over it, Haru tilts his chin up to greet the first sign of the rainy season. He revels in the feel of cold droplets pattering over his cheeks, smooth and gentle as they slide over his face to trail down his neck, plastering his hair to his forehead and soaking his shirt to his back. It has clearly been raining a while now, sidewalks drowning in puddles as fog rises from the concrete in delicate tendrils; it’s even managed to wash away the scent of the city for once, just a little more reminiscent of home. He inhales it deeply, lets it coat his lungs with a much-appreciated touch of familiarity.

Haruka waits for Makoto to spiral and eventually come to an answer, knowing that since Haruka has offered it, Makoto will be incapable of rejecting it.

Ripples of Hope

Author: DatHeetJoella Fandom: Free! Pairing: MakoHaru Rating: G Word count: 1,598 Summary:  On the night before they move to Tokyo, Haruka and Makoto relive one of the most special nights of their lives, but this time, their roles are reversed.

Notes: This fic was my contribution to the @makoharu-zine. I hope you enjoy! :) Read at: AO3 - FFn - or here:

Of all the places he had expected Haruka to take him in the middle of the night right before they were officially moving to Tokyo, the Iwatobi Swim Club Returns was at the bottom of the list. And yet, as Makoto was waiting while Haruka fumbled with the keys to open the door, he knew that he shouldn’t be surprised because it couldn’t have been anywhere but here.

Many questions were playing through his head, but since Haruka hadn’t been willing to disclose where they were going and just told him that he would see when they got there, Makoto understood that the majority of his wonders were not going to be clarified with words, but rather with actions. Therefore, he settled with the one question that was most likely to get a verbal answer. “Where did you get the keys?”

“From Coach Sasabe,” Haruka simply replied as he swung the door open. “Usually I don’t have an issue with using other ways to get in, but I thought getting arrested for breaking-and-entering was not something we wanted right now.”

Shipping delays

Hi everyone! We just want to let you know that while Canada Post is not on strike anymore, there’s still a chance that some packages might be delayed. We know it’s frustrating, but please understand this is out of our control. The average shipping time for internationals orders is 4-12 weeks and that is without taking the strike in consideration.

Please keep an eye out for your package and if there’s anything we can do to help, do let us know!

I live in europe and still haven't received my packages. What would happen if it get lost, I'm worried (I paid for the most expansive one..).

Hi!

Shipping for packages in Europe can take between 4-12 weeks to arrive according to Canada Post’s estimation. We did all the shipping around 4-6 weeks ago so we’re still in the expected range. There’s no need to worry yet!

If your package hasn’t arrived once that period is over, please make sure to contact us again and we can arrange something. We got some extra copies just for this kind of situation.
