Both seasons of Agent Carter were way better than the What If…? Captain Carter episode. ‘Nough said.

I agree. I was never looking forward to that series and now I know why.

I love the attention Peggy gets but what Agent Carter did, was showing that a woman without special powers can do more than sitting behind a desk and getting coffee. I mean sure everybody also underestimated Steve’s character in Captain America and he could show them how wrong they were, once he got the serum.

BUT it’s different with Peggy. It feels like she only earned their trust and respect because she is the super soldier now, not despite her being a woman. It robs her of being respected as a normal human being. She is this special female trophy now, that saves the world. Every other women is still seen as less worth than men, because they are ordinary.

Agent Carter is a so much better show, bc people/men start thinking “hey, if she can be intelligent, creative and brave, then maybe other women can too..?”

this is LITERALLY the funniest promotional piece that anyone has ever made for a tv show or movie ever

The best part is the story behind it. After Edgar Wright stormed off the project, this movie almost got canceled. It took Peyton Reed literally finishing it with his crew in a single year, and Paul Rudd contributing on the writing to get it done within the deadline. And apparently, because they had to rush production ON a reduced budget no less, the effects weren’t even close to done by the time they had to put out Trailers and TV spots, and most of what was finished, or near done, had to be used in the theatrical spots. So Rudd and Douglas here supposedly came up with this idea, on the spot, as it would at least get people talking and avoid reusing too many of the same shots.

They accidentally hit the precise vein of our generation’s comedy
