I talked a lot last year about how the "main" artwork (faux sugimori style) for Pokemon had gotten miserably stiff and boring - many of them just exactly the lifeless idle poses from the game - but a new book apparently just revealed the alternate internal art of every current Pokemon, what fans call the "dream world art" that they use on a lot of stickers and coloring books. This is the first time the public has seen this art for the last couple hundred new Pokemon.
These tend to have their own original poses and god WHAT a fucking improvement

i think if you're going to complain about "problematic queer representation" in media you have to clarify what type of problematic you're talking about. is the bisexual character implied to be only "doing it for attention" or perpetuating homophobic stereotypes? yeah, you have a point, that's not great. is the lesbian "problematic" because she eats people? oh no that's fine, lesbians are allowed to do that if they want

I watched a bit of a Japanese Skies of Arcadia playthrough last night to hear the Japanese voices and good lord. I've never heard anything more annoying in my life. Vyse is a shrieking maniac and everyone is fucking yelling nonstop. Gilder sounds 100. ALFONSO??? Has a DEEP VOICE??? Completely unhinged. 2/10 gave me a headache.
Enrique was fine he sounds cute. Hard to fuck that up.
I knew what the main 3 sounded like from the demo but having those memories unearthed felt like violence against me, lol
