I’ve got this idea for like, a high school AU where Tenko, Touya and Keigo all go to the same high school (Not necessarily UA, maybe just a school for Smart Kids) and they’ve been besties since they were kids but slowly drifted apart.
They still have their quirks, I think! Touya has his scars, but since they’re properly treated, it isn’t that bad. His mother recently got to the hospital after burning Shoto, and his family is estranged and cold towards each other. Touya’s freshly out of rehab, trying to relearn how to act like a normal person again.
Tenko’s quirk is just as dangerous as before, but rather than killing his entire family, it was just his dad, leaving his family (aside from Hana, his older sister) treating him like an outcast. His father was abusive, but he never meant to kill him. It was an accident, but no matter how much he tells him mother that, she doesn’t talk to him.
Keigo lives with his father, an dangerous criminal. He bounces from different family members’ houses until he can live on his own. He makes up for the lack of love by having countless friends, going to parties and being the center of attention. Keigo is the glue between Tenko and Touya, keeping them together when things get rough.
As kids, they promised that if they ever wanted to leave this town, they would all go, no questions asked. They do a blood pact and everything. This only happened because Tenko opened up about his mother and how much she neglects him. He leaves the details vague, not ready to talk about his father. Touya talks about his mom and Keigo mentions his dad. They realize how shitty their lives are and agree to leave if anything happens.
Years later, when Touya and Keigo are in their third year, and Tenko’s in his second, the latter decides he’s done with everything. His grandparents are dead, his mother won’t talk to him, won’t look him in the eye, and the only person that cares about him, Hana, is off in college, leaving him by himself.
He hasn’t spoken to Keigo or Touya in years, but he drives to their house anyways, recruiting them for a trip around Japan. No adult supervision, no school. Most importantly, they can do what they want and be free.
Shenanigans ensue, of course. Touya’s dealing with severe withdrawal, Keigo fights the urge to confess to both of them that he’s been hopelessly in love with them for years, and Tenko refuses to tell them why he brought them with. There’s lots of teasing, arguing, making up with pizza and weed, and boys being boys.
Maybe it’ll be a fic, if people are interested! I normally only talk about my fic ideas on Twitter but this is one of the ones that I’m really invested in (aside from the coffee shop/flower shop shigadabihawks idea I had) so lemme know if I should write it!!
