Father's day betrayal

Bucky loved his little family. His adorable son, who much to your dismay is Bucky’s twin, and his beautiful wife who loves him very much. He finally felt happy. Happiness that he deserved.

This year, Steve held a father’s day eve barbecue, hanging out with all his friends on this warm summer Saturday afternoon. Bucky saw his wife talking to Sarah, laughing while drinking some refreshing lemonade.

His son, who just turned 4, was having a blast playing with Sam’s nephews. They were running around trying not to get touched by the sprinklers Steve set up for the kids to play with. They were giggling and laughing. AJ and Cass were like big brothers to little Theo and god did they love to cause mischief together.

Bucky is observant. It’s a given when you used to be an assassin. But what he didn’t notice was the fact that he and Sam had the same pants and shoes. Which you and Sarah noticed. 

Both dummies decided to wear the same beige pants and black sneakers. On this hot summer day, even Steve, Mister prime and proper, was wearing shorts but Bucky and Sam? Nah they just had to wear pants. You and Sarah were laughing at how similar they are, and if you told them, they would have a fit.

You and Chris didn’t often fight and if you did it was generally over something minor, like leaving the toilet seat up, or not putting clothes in the hamper.

However the most reoccurring argument was over his phone that was so old that it functioned more as a metal brick than an actual phone. You had begged him for years to update it, saying it was not worth the nightly battle just to get it to charge, or the poor battery life.

However he just took it to the nearest Apple store to get it repaired. That process repeating until the Apple store refused to repair it because they didn’t have parts anymore because it was that old.

The amount of hate on a movie that’s not even out yet and the sheer disrespect towards Chadwick Boseman on Twitter in the comments for the Wakanda Forever announcement poster is ridiculous, disgusting, and disappointing, though sadly not surprising. The word mid is overused, annoying, and just shows that some people need to grow up. As for the movie, the trailer alone looks incredible and just all-out beautiful. Literally had chills towards the end, especially with the whispered: “Wakanda Forever.” I can not wait to see this film!

Just For the Night

The first time Bucky had a nightmare after you’d moved to his floor, it wasn’t you who went to him, but the other way around.

You’d heard the yell, the quiet sobbing. You were awake but frozen, not sure if Bucky would want you to comfort him when he was like this. You’d seen him snap at Steve before, when he’d tell Bucky that it was normal not to remember something or that no one expected him to be okay all the time.

I don’t want your fucking pity, Steve. From you, or any of you. Why does everyone keep looking at me? Enjoying the show?

It wasn’t his fault, and if it was you, you’d probably feel the same. With all that fear and anger and sudden freedom, came a lot of shame and guilt. You wouldn’t blame him for wanting to push through his nightmares alone, too.

But not long after the cries woke you up, you heard a knock on your door, slowly opening. He heard your heart rate, knew you were awake.

“Can I sleep here?” he asked quietly, voice rough from sleep and so broken that you felt your own heart break. You opened your mouth to speak, but not before he finished with a devastating whisper of “Please? I really can’t be alone right now.”
