Family manipulation, lovely. I do always love the character contrasts between Nils and Lash's relationships with their families.

It's Just a Tale...

So, back in the long gone era of 2 months ago, I mentioned at the end of my last story that the next one would be something that wouldn't need any trigger warnings.

And now, after an unexpected pause in posting, I am able to FINALLY share it with you all. The idea is very much "Monstrous Rapunzel", and for the entirety of writing it, @baelpenrose was peppering me with questions about how the story would play out. As you will hopefully find out soon, the story isn't even that long, but he was hooked.

So i'm working on a project that involves looking at people's opinions on public transportation, and something that keeps coming up is that a lot of people like the idea of public transportation but ridership is at the same time low, so I wanna figure out what stops people from riding.

hey since it's coming up again: no it's not a good thing that the government wants to ban tiktok. no you should not be glad that the government might ban tiktok. no you should not respond to this with "good riddance" or "hurry up I hate that app". I should not have to explain this to you but the government banning a social media app is still a bad thing even if you don't like the UI or booktok or having to say "unalive" or how you think it's killing the very notion of attention spans. It's still bad. It's bad.

It's always a dangerously slippery slope whenever the government (especially at the federal level) controls what media you have access to.

We are already being fed a lot of partial truth news (and sometimes fake) in the news on TV. They leave out certain facts that might paint the situation in a different light. This is why they can all say something different despite talking about the same exact story (not to mention that there is no legal consequence for them especially if they put out a small statement later correcting the false information [note: this statement does not have to be big or even played/posted at a popular viewing time]). Now I can't for the life of me find the supreme court case that upheld this, but it exists and please let me know if you have this or if this has since changed.

But either way, one restriction often leads to further restrictions especially for freedom of information. If the government can control what you see, then it is for easier to convince you to think the way they want.

a weird thing is that we got waves of people going "who cares if its cringe or youre annoying! have fun!" but no one really learned how to accept the fact that some people will find you annoying or think your art or your work or posts or anyrhing sucks and thats ok. rather it just became a weird "if people think youre annoying theyre just morally bad. let people enjoy things!". like no i think this yes man only biome sucks and people are allowed to not like artstyles and shows and media and other things

if youre an artist, a creator, or just someone whos involved in hobbies: learning that no matter what you do, some people will find you annoying is extremely important for your mental health, just as learning that not liking things is normal and youre allowed to do it

as people have mentioned in the tags, i think this yes-man attitude leads more people to make up random moral reasons to dislike things. if disliking something for no reason is bad, then you have to constantly justify yourself as to why this thing sucks, which is also not mature and sucks

All in all, a car designed to kill people.
