That time of year again Edit: I didn’t post ALL the art I did on tumblr this year, as I found that it’s not gaining much traction, figured I’d share anyway. I post most of it on discord now.

okay… I’ll just make a new post with the update, since the animation is not working properly and I don’t wanna risk of accidentally deleting the old blog. (why is Tumblr so hard to use) All right so this is Brad from Lisa the Painful game. Suggested by @witch-gamer Feel free to suggest too of any indie close-eyed character you want, MAYBE I can add them in the group!

Wanting to buy all of the cute hanukkah decorations at target but not wanting to over-inflate hanukkah’s importance as a relatively minor holiday just because of its proximity to x-mas and also knowing you can’t display anything outside your house cause you’ll get hate crimed but they’re selling a shirt that says “i love you a latke” on it and you know that you also have no self control

Hey guys, just a smaller reminder since Hanukkah is still happening for us Jewish folk;

Please, PLEASE do not say “Hanukkah is just Jewish Christmas” because no, it’s not, and it’s really disrespectful to say that. Hanukkah gets so lumped in with Christmas all the time that it starts to take away what Hanukkah really is about, and it’s unfair to push that onto the Jewish community. Christmas usually takes over EVERYTHING once November hits, and the stores get covered head to toe in Christmas everything; while Hanukkah usually gets an endcap and maybe a few decorations. We hardly get noticed most of the year (unless you’re in New York) and it sucks to have people just lump it in with something else rather than acknowledge it’s its own thing entirely. Besides the gift giving and convenient timing of it being in December, there is no correlation between the two. And, please remember too that whenever the holidays come around, Anti-Semitism always takes a hard rise against the Jewish community. Crime rises, and it’s not exclusive to other countries, it happens pretty often in the U.S as well, it’s just that it never gets covered nearly enough in media so no one really notices until something utterly tragic happens. If you need a list of things that’s happened this year, here’s a list of what’s happened in 2020 so far.

So, please, if you see someone who is obviously Jewish (Hanukkah clothes, earrings, whatever else may be) please don’t say “Merry Christmas”, be courteous and nice and say “Happy Holidays” Or “Happy Hanukkah.” We just want some recognition for us, not what we get lumped in with. That is all!! Thank you for reading, I know I don’t post often here.

I normally don’t like to touch on politics here BUT, to anyone who voted either way, you are still welcome here. I don’t believe in shunning someone because of their vote, that’s none of my business who you voted for.
