all those terms for when you dont really like something but someone else does and you respect that… youve heard of “not my cup of tea” and “whatever floats your boat” and now its time for this phrase to shine

if you aren’t prepared for anything and everything that could potentially go wrong with your sign ups & you make a hasty decision ten minutes in AFTER everyone has already gotten their tables because someone posted a backlot link... you don’t refund everyone who worked the hardest to get their tables and dealt with your fuck up

you apologize & you fix it next year, why is this....... not common sense

people planned months in advanced to take today off or take time away to lose sales at a convention they’re at this weekend so that they could sign up for your artist alley. these people dealt with your website fuck up & still fought hard to get a table. now you’re telling them that they have to somehow make time in another week, take time from work, sales, appointments, etc. to go ahead and do this all over again? with no actual reassurance that it isn’t going to happen again?

ok

again, why is it that we are expected to be more prepared than the conventions themselves. this is just. we are so fucking tired

artist alley is competitive, even more so with first come first serve. it is a literal competition to whoever signs up first. if other people are more prepared for a mishap and find the link elsewhere, why are they punished for the people who didn't work hard enough to find it?? i’m sorry, but if you weren’t prepared enough to get in, that’s not our fault

why is it that artists are more prepared for a convention to screw them over than the convention is to deal with their mistakes
